@@edennard1 Both! He should have known better. The running of church is a business, whether we like it or not. I do not how see this pastor thought that another pastor was just going to give him a structure. He took it with very few questions or not correct questions asked nor did he seek help with the transaction. Pastor Grey, like a lot of them, seems to be carrying some baggage that does not look good for a man of God, i.e. a moneychanger and a poor thinking one at that. No wonder Christ threw out the moneychangers from the temple. When he returns, he is going to have to do it once again.

First of all most Church's do not have 100 percent tithe and when he got that Church, there were so many people in it suffering big time!!..The car buying was his money to do what he wish to do...Was it Wise to show the World? He was not using Wise Judgement at all..And then to put 26 thousand dollors monthly in a retirement fund for someone else.. Like Really! .. Come On! It seems that the church as a whole is much more interested in knocking down pastors and celebrating a Christian leader's failure. It seems they WANT leaders to suffer for wrongdoings. God will handle John Gray in any way that He has to. John has made some bad judgments, but he has also helped a lot of people to Christ. Why Christians (or should I say "churchgoers) prefer to concentrate on the dark side instead of finding the good and praying for a fallen leader is totally amazing to me. Speak the TRUTH - YES! But speak the truth in LOVE! It's funny how so many Christians know too well the scriptures that speak about paying for sins, but they don't seem to know where to find scriptures about loving people back to Christ and praying for those who are hurting. They see John as a bad representative for Christianity, but see nothing wrong with their "STONE HIM" mentality. That's why non-Christians want nothing to do with us. We seem just as hate-filled as the world. I pray for John's restoration in all aspects of his life.

Im going through something similar I was at church Sunday and I can tell Pastor John is very hurt. He said people will smile in your face and be thinking of ways to cut you down smh let's lift him up in prayer and be careful when you judge people bc God had a way of making you feel someone elses pain her name's Karma!

From the cheating, to the recorded calls, to the lease, to the taxes, to the 250K cars, to the scandals, to the mistress (who was the devil, but not him), it’s just interesting to me that it’s NEVERRRR him (at all), it’s always someone else and never his fault. That’s my thing with Pastor John Gray, he is never at fault about he anything.

He was expected to pay $26,000 per month and he has not paid... $312,000!!! He was left with a cash surplus of $1,500,000!!! But he was begging the members to pay $250,000 for a new roof!!! And the church set him up with a home worth $1,700,000!!! He was not paying staff and had one lead out by the cops Monday. He brought in Tasha Cobbs and her husband and the minister of music had to take a pay cut!!! I suggest more investigation be done on this guy!!!

Yes. Pastor Gray said he should have known some things prior. Sadly, this miscommunication has led to this confusion. Pray they can resolve this soon, especially in the best interest of the church members.

Isn’t there anyone in all the church who is wise enough to decide these issues? 6 But instead, one believer sues another-right in front of unbelievers! 7 Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? So true and Scripture!!! If the Carpenter's had problems they should have followed God's word. Now look at how non believers are responding to this mess! God is real and his Word is everlasting!!! I pray God's peace in this situation and would say give them the keys back to the church singing, and dancing. Move on to higher heights and deeper depths. That is just a building. In order to get to the the level in life there are some learning experiences and all of them are not good. Praise the Lord that He’s with us in the mist of it all and walk with us through it. I believe that if he wasn't called to be a Pastor , by his love for God and his people , that he could had made a great Pastor for Relentless Church because the people loved him. However it was his unrighteous , unholy and deceptive lifestyle which is coming back to destroy him. NOT GOD , FOR WHAT A MAN SOW ,SHALL HE REAP. There are thousands among thousands of false ,evil and diabolic Pastors out there who are not exposed. John Gray is a public figure in Christianity , so his sins and life will be magnify on a greater level. I am living a wonderful , beautiful, joyous and fruitful life now. However that was not always the case with me , i lived a life of lying and deceiving people plus drinking and having sex everyday with strangers. But God, did not count me out , He covered my life, from me destroying myself and raised me up into a spiritual, mental and physical respectable, honorable, righteous man of God and i love Him,Jesus. By the way, there are thousands of people working and functioning in areas of the church in which they are not called but because of their faithfulness, dedication and love for God , they are doing an excellent job ,even better than some of the call ones ,who have no heart for the people. .

It looks like John Gray was not given the whole picture. There were clearly financial issues and Ron Carpenter transferred those issues to him without giving him all the information he needed to make an informed decision.

Just Pray for the Churches and their Pastors, instead of judging them.

Pastor Ron brings in enough finances to pay off the debts. It would be beautiful if the love of Christ would shine through and pastor Ron would help pastor John pay off what is owed. The bible encourages those who are strong to help others in their weaknesses. Just a thought, I hope the love of God shines through.

Thank you for saying something encouraging about Pastor Ron, he is actually my pastor here in California and I love him and his wife to pieces. They have done nothing but wonderful things for our church even our community and have always been upfront with our finances.

I find it very hypocritical that Christians are saying he’s been in a lot of controversy and this is his karma. I bet God up there looking like: "Since y'all won't sit down on your own, I'll sit you down myself." I don't know why we, as Believers, think that having no integrity or commitment to the God we use to make money is acceptable. Anything goes and the ones who sending in their rent money and defending these people are to blame. I'm not even talking about JG. I'm talking about whosoever in a pulpit using the gospel to get rich. Sow a seed if you have a need. Help whoever you can but don't let them trick you out of your grocery money. It's not selfish to feed yourself and your family. It's clear all of them have plenty and even more clear that they aren't even using the "offering" to take care of the church building.

First of all this situation should have been handled privately. If and only if they could not handled it privately , should it have been taken to the public. This is a so called Ministry that says our lawyer says this and a Pastor ( for those who look at him in that way ) a untruth brought on the church, however him saying that... he hasn’t produced any type of documentation in the case via checks, money orders showing payment for rent at that facility.

The truth is this Pastor John trusted a word and a hand shake, Pastor Ron knew he had no legal right to transfer a property he had a mortgage on, which he did not own it outright , so he couldn't transfer the property in totality. He leased the property so that Pastor John could pay the bills which allowed him to move to CA and attempt to start a new ministry in that location. Pastor John was a novice in Realestate and was not informed that a lease'e has no power to negotiate any payments or or restructure the loan payments. From the onset Pastor John should have known that rarely a outside Pastor would rendered a fully paid Church and property to non son. The value of the presently own property has to be in the millions? Secondly this is the issue for me and who am I nobody but why would The Carpenters place such a heavy burden on Relentless to pay 26k a month for retirement this is over taxing the people of God, my math is not of such I would be deemed a mathematician but 26k a month is 312. thousand dollars a year. Wow final statement we do things without consulting God and then co-sign his name to give it authenticity and he never gave his consent towards these endeavors.

Not sure how old this is but my heart hurts at this even having come up. Praying for all involved.

You dont need to go on the news to explain your lease situation to the world. Just fix it and keep moving lol people dying like flies all over the world and everybody wants to hear about a lease situation

The issue is that there was NO CONTRACT, NO VISUAL inspection of property before accepting a key. Wisdom is the principal thing. You cannot accept keys without a lawyer a contract and most of all an understanding

We all can be tested at any time by God. He does this so that we can correct the error of our ways. But one thing I do know, is none of us need to speak on the situation because we don't know if it's God at hand or not. God does the exposing not us. Stay in your lane people. Be still and know that he is God and everything will shed it's light.

The financial agreement should have been in place long before keys were handed over. Like closing on a purchased home, they give you all of that before they hand you those keys.
