She is a messenger and testimony of our Almighty God to all his creation. Imagine she choose to become Jesus believer despite the opposition of her family . She give up everything ( family ) to be with her now husband Dave ( a son of a missionary in the Philippines) just to follow and accept Jesus as her personal savior.

Gary V wrote the music and Freddie Santos did the lyrics and the song was used in a play back in the late 80's/90's called First Name. Freddie passed away in 2020 and this is a tribute to him in a revised version called....First Name A'New. Gary wanted a female take on the song, and knew only one fit...Morissette and he arranged this for her.

Morissette sings with emotion, no matter what song she sings. She wears her heart on her sleeve. This was one of, if not the best, performances of hers, in my opinion. God Bless!!!

I can definitely understand why, I had to hold back my own emotions from watching the video.

Her voice here is so significantly emotional.

Gary Valenciano the guy who wrote the music for this one rearranged the song for it to fit Morissette. Before the shooting he told her "everyone knows you can sing but this time i want you to sing with your heart" and she truly did. Maybe not her "most impressive" vocals but since you're a Pastor you might enjoy Jesus Take the Wheel and Man of Sorrow.

This was being sang during the Pandemic that everybody all over the globe was in panic, that even our close to our heart got sick and died due to Covid, but Mori gave us an Hope, Empowerment with her song, acctually since the song is a prayer as well, and time of repentance for our sins and why Covid came to us and did people suffer that no hope for us, how could we will be able to understand why it happened,i used to watch hundred times just to comfort myself, Morissette is a God given that she never came to her mind not to share her talent,and gave to us for free , especially in time of dealing with this Pandemic, good music is just a cure whenever we are in desperation, God bless Mori🙏

I can't not cry every time I listen to this song. Gary Valenciano's version is beautiful, but Morisette's is more emotional. This is a beautifully written song.

Emotions are good but should not be focused on in terms of beliefs. Faith is sufficient, and if God let's us feel emotions to enhance truth, good. But emotions/ feelings are often used by the devil to deceive. Irrational thinking and emotions being people or if the Catholic church. Emotions and truth don't mix well. Many people look for truth through feelings.
