Not really, Stain is more better at fighting via one on one, not only that but I'm sure they mentioned quirks was becoming stronger every generations. But yeah anime logic the the best way to explain.

Well stain was being careless and lida todo and deku actually sorta helped each other out for there weaknesses deku for melee combat todo for medium range combat and lida is there as a support hero
