I’m pretty sure this is an au, they didn’t label it as one, but there’s little things like Valka commenting how dragons are dangerous, and how they didn’t know about hiccup’s scar, suggesting cloudjumper never met hiccup or the others.

This au is quite interesting. It’s almost like what Hiccup always hoped his parents and childhood had been like. A mother who wasn’t taken away and a father was supportive and didn’t like almost disown him for having a dragon.

So this is an au where valka somewhat convinced stoick that not all dragons are dangerous i guess? That or stoick also witnessed what valka witnessed, which is cloudjumper playing with hiccup before he scared it off without it taking valka which somewhat made an impact on his view of dragons. Still its a good au that i find interesting
