Agnes Moorehead…..what a class act
Absolutely love Agnes!
Hard to believe Agnes was born in 1900. She saw the biggest changes in technology and worst wars in Humankind.

Sad to think that at this taping, Agnes would only be with us for another 7 years.

She was gone by the mid 70s? Wow to be around during both world wars. She must have seen it all.
Nothing against Barry at all because he's such a good player, but imagine what a week would have been like with Elizabeth Montgomery and Agnes playing.

I don’t think they were big fans of each other. Agnes was a fundamentalist Christian and Liz was a freethinking hippy. Agnes was more a fan of dick York. Elizabeth was not a fan of Dick, he was constantly drunk and inappropriate with her on set.

Agnes Moorehead….”glamourous” is right!
Agnes love the color lavender and is wearing at least something close.
These games came up with several tough words! And the players were good enough to get virtually all of them. Fun to play along with them. 👏👍😀
Love Agnes on Bewitched her mother died at almost 107 16 years after Agnes passed away the woman on the show would be around 80 today i was 6 when the show came out

What??
Agnes wanted to say "butt" so badly at 12:22 as a clue for rear but she felt she just couldn't. She even turned to Allan and griped or asked permission. They both felt it was inappropriate. Different times.

She could have said buttocks. Maybe that was too much as well. Butt is so vulgar.

Barry Nelson the very first James Bond.
This was a frustrating episode to watch. I kept screaming at the TV-- Cork----Champagne! Evil-----Devil! Foil----Aluminum! Selfish---Ungiving! And that girl who said "Kennedy" in response to "President"----in 1967?! Good lord lol.

Wow! The girl in the orange dress is so cute. I'd like to jump through the TV set and meet her. It's hard to believe that she's got to be at least in her mid-seventies if she's still alive.

Gary Nelson gets choked up during the lightning rounds, so much time is lost with no words spoken, its not fair
Hilarious: asking the woman "And what does your husband do?" Wow.

It's a window into American past, including manners, stand for woman, etc. I vaguely remember this show. So what we have today is better? More mannered? More polite?
@frigginirishloons

The general attitude toward women, at this time, is a bit offensive. Little lady stuff annoys me
@lynnhauenstein4136
2 жыл бұрын
@@frigginirishloons the little lady stuff can be annoying. By today's standards. No I'm not a little lady based on what my husband does. But the proper manners standing pulling out a chair. The proper way the women walk straight and precise. Dress. Not bent over and slovenly. With private parts showing like nothing else in their mind. No time is perfect but little lady or Cardi B ? Which is worse
@stmichl9433

@@frigginirishloons it's not annoying at all, it's simply of its time. They were being polite and it's just how things were. What's annoying is politically correct people wanting the past to be like the present.... which if you watch the 6 o'clock news in 2021 you wouldn't wish that on anybody back in 1967! We live in tacky, Ill-mannered, dumbed-down, ugly times.

@@tangledandfar no I wouldn't be surprised at all. And you've missed the point entirely. I'm simply stating facts and not trying to reframe the past to fit my own worldview, but accepting it as it was.

Karen was lookin mighty groovy there, I swear I saw that same design on a bus @ Woodstock. I think the rules woulda allowed me to use the clue dorsal for fin, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. That final lightning round was tough

Their dictionary is wrong. Bandaid can be one word or two words. They needed a better dictionary.

There were a lot of handsome male contestants on this show. I think they chose contestants in those days for their looks. The female contestants were often very attractive too. These days it seems anyone can be on TV! Lol
