Passover: Jesus In The Feasts of Israel | A Day of Discovery Legacy Series from

Today in Israel and throughout the Jewish world, the annual cycle of holy days continues to be observed. From the making of unleavened bread to the blowing of trumpets, these spring and fall feasts provide rest, remembrance, and renewal, calling people back to God.
In this 4-part series from Day of Discovery and ‪@ourdailybread‬ hosts, Michael Rydelnik, Avner Boskey, and Michael Brown spend time in Israel uncovering the historical, agricultural,
sacrificial, and prophetic understanding of the sacred feasts. Although some believe these appointed times are only relevant for the people of Israel, this team of Jewish scholars and followers of Jesus are convinced that they hold more significance: that the spring and fall feasts are fulfilled in Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, and promise of His return. See in stunning detail how these feasts unfold God's grand story of redemption for the entire world.

This is wonderful. I am 73 years old. I have been in church all my life. Why is this never been explained to me from the pulpit before?

I was told that Seminaries don't teach about the Feasts. I'm not sure that is true, but I know that I have been in church all my life and never learned much about Jewish Traditions until very recently. 🤷

It's true. It's not a "Jewish" feast. It is THE Lord's feasts! Let's follow the Torah!

I learned this in church 35 years ago. God lead me to a great church. Many things my pastor and associate pastor taught way back then are just now being taught. But there were several teachers on Christian television back then that also taught these types of things. What denomination did you go to?

So many Christians today aren’t aware of our religion being directly connected to the rituals of Judaism. I’m so glad my parents taught me how special & chosen the Jewish people are in the sight of God & the world.

The blood of the Lamb over the doorpost... Yeshua said that He is the Door, and he shed his blood. This is the Jewish year 5784 which means the Door--> could this possibly be the year that the Lord comes for his people ?

You must use the Bible as foundation for all things commanded. The King James Version Bible is plenty accurate. The Bullinger version of the KJV is better.

@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 I realize I'm to use the scripture, but having scholarly instruction for context and understanding is not wrong. I'm also not one who believes the KJV is the only acceptable one. What do you tell people who do not speak English and needs a translation where certain words cannot be translated exactly as the KJV defines it. Sorry.

In the Catholic Church, passover or easter as its known here in the US has roots in Jewish tradition. The Jews sacrificied a lamb and used the blood to mark their doors, so that God would pass over their homes and not harm the inhabitants of that house. Now, we have Christ, the lamb of God that sacrificed himself for the forgiveness of sins and the redemption of all. He is the new lamb, and the living bread sent from heaven. John 6:51 Jesus said "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man EAT of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my FLESH, which I will give for the life of the world."... "For MY FLESH IS FOOD indeed, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK indeed." In Mathew 26:17 Jesus celebrates Passover with the disciples " While they were eating, Jesus took BREAD, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; THIS IS MY BODY.” During mass, a Priest with consecrated hands will raise the host which is unleavened bread, repeat the words of consecration (Mathew 26:17) and the Holy Spirit transforms the unleavened bread to the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ which was given up for us on the cross. This is passover in today's society which is rooted in Jewish traditions from more than 3,000 years ago. It was not a stolen concept or idea from the pagan god Ester. Not only that but only in the US and some other country is Passover is called "Easter", everywhere else its called Passover. A trick of the devil, he knows the US is a highly influential country and since no one reads the Bible and believes whatever is on the internet without doing research, will it flies like flies. Same with Christmas.

Jewish teaching appeals to many but can distract with interesting, non-essentials that interfere with individual salvation. Every soul no doubt expected by our King will be reached but followers nevertheless must actively live by listening, obeying and receiving Holy Spirit empowerment. In this manner He will know them. Everything else however interesting is dangerous folly. Please re-read Revelation 2-3. ❤
