That only works with owner operators. Company drivers will most likely abuse the privilege of an un governorned truck. Or you have to use fleet management software to monitor the trucks average speed in top gear.

I enjoy when the truck slams on the jake brake when another vehicle exits the freeway. It's unsafe.

It's for SAFETY. So is going slow as hell. I abhor all of this SAFETY features. Bunch of college grads without any hands on anything creating this stuff.

It works. Driving a slower truck I am thrilled with this. No more slow mega carriers getting in my way

Why did my reset to zero two times now when it still had 100 minutes left ? Also has given a collision warning 4 times now without a vehicle nowhere in sight....

Our company did this to us at a terminal: didn’t tell us.. We were governed at 66 on the cruise, 62 on foot peddle with throttle over ride to keep you at 66. They disabled throttle over ride: so yeah, car exits and our truck hits the jake brake; over passes too, no way to stop the brake as a driver. We drive blue mountains, and Wyoming twice a week, chains, etc.. Truck hit the jake brake on black ice on the winter, almost crashed.. We put in our two weeks notice. Unsafe. When you take away the over rides, you create a steering wheel holder that is just along for the ride. This encourages distracted driving and is unsafe in the western states. We are better than this. My wife and I loved this account: great lane and great pay, but we won’t be reduced to robots. Robots can end up upside down in Elk Mountain, WY: not us.

Exactly 👍 good for you! I drive BC/AB Canada and my truck brakes if the wind rocks the cab too hard! Black ice and unexpected braking dont mix! Obviously nerds in office weren’t informed!

You would have to have the company shop do it if your a company driver or a dealer could do it if you own the truck
