Isaac Asimov Interview with Bill Moyers (1988)
Firstly he mentioned about his ideas of future studies with his book "As far as the human eye can see." Later he goes in more details of how to cultivate a passion for learning. Really interesting and inspiring man. Wished i had the privilege to meet him in the same time period 😇.

I enjoy learning and reading books, not because I want to become a genius, but for the reason of trying to understand how things works and do some projects.
I have a degree in Pedagogy and man, I can say Asimov was really ahead of his time
Asimov is superb here. Terrific interview by Moyers.
I couldn't imagine a day without learning, that would be a sorrowful day indeed.

No, he was someone who decided to see, and learn, accept reality and give reasons for people to learn and to dream.. There no geniuses.. even if there are even they could be failures sometimes. But a free thinker is someone we all can be

He was a person with an IQ of about 155, so we’ll, if not like Stephen hawking, Asimov was pretty smart by all means. Excelling in many fields, not just one or two.
I saw this segment a long time ago and it stuck with me. Now here I am with copies of Asimov's "New Guide to Science" (80s edition) and "The History of Physics." You can look at Asimov's prodigious non-fiction output as his way of reinforcing his learning. After all, as Thomas Sowell said (paraphrasing), one sure way of testing how well you understand an idea is how easily you can explain it to someone else. Lucky for us that a considerable portion of his non-fiction is still available and I can't wait to dig into these two books with the spirit of self-teaching that Asimov inspirationally speaks about here. :)

Capnmax Such a very smart man. We live in an age of directionless people. And sucking up useless info and content is the new addiction. Let's hope it comes right before this century is done. Peace!✌

He certainly wasn't wrong in my case. I've learnt far more from the internet than I did in five years at one of Australia's top universities.
