Passion flower - A beautiful and aggressive evergreen vine

The passionflower has an amazing and truly unique look, but does come with its downsides it is a vine and this vine can run 200 feet in one year. Great for privacy, but will takeover unless properly managed.

Passion vines are very vigorous & need a very strong structure to support their weight & can swamp everything in their path . I've grown a few over the years here in Australia & they get loads of fruit but only live 3 - 4 years.

I am currently constructing another trellis for the plant. I was unaware of their limited lifespan. The original plant was approximately four years old, while the new one that unexpectedly appeared is about a year old. I am hopeful that it will endure for a few more years.
Nice! I tried and failed twice to establish passion flower vines in my garden. Didn't know it was so aggressive or that the flowers only last one day! Everyday is a schoolday with GrowTropicalMK
