I love how there is no big action pack story line, despite the weird things going on it feels so normal, mundane, and natural and I think that's a good thing. Very unique in a way.

@@lucialight2002 i have nothing against you liking something, i am against setting such low standards for such good art, given that this film achieves way more than the lowest bar of "being not like the other films" i mention hollywood because you're acting like that type of film sets the standard, the "big action pack storyline". Calarts films are incomparable to that standard. They're a completely different genre, and therefore of COURSE they will differ. It's narrow-minded of you to think that the average movie is just action. Good art like this is way more common than you think.

You just explained how I felt into words effortlessly. It does feel exactly like a childhood memory. The different art styles for different things really cemented the memory feeling for me.

As someone who lived in the deep south for 8 years, that combination of the graveyard next to the ABC with a Jesus billboard on top perfectly captured the energy of a lot of small towns

That dog's design absolutely rocks. Like the rest of the animation does, this was really fabulous. Made me nostalgic for things I've never experienced

Everyone's praising the art/animation, as they should, but you gotta give props to the sound design as well. It's so atmospheric and immersive

Every year from ages 7-13, I spent the whole summer with my grandma. I would lie, and say it was to visit family, but I really went to try to take care of her. I stopped going because of school, but those moments, I can never forget. I would always come out with some sort of revelation or experience. I miss her right now. I love your art.

Oh i think i get it now. They represent the new technology. Like the alien that dropped a box on another alien, that was a (delivery?) drone.

the subtle movements... like her foot getting stuck on her bike, or the way the shop door starts closing then opens again.... the atmosphere is incredible and the details just MAKE it

I cried watching the end- also the girl passing through the streets in and looking in at her family through all the windows really had a lot of heart and nostalgia to it

i love how world focused this was, as well as how comforting it all felt. It just brings good feels.

SOUND DESIGN was so good in this. the sfx mixed so well with the “diagetic” background sounds, really helped to immerse the viewer. art was good too i guess (obv joking ur art is incredible)

this is such a slice of sickeningly homesick nostalgia and it brought me to tears in a way that is so unexplainable. absolutely wonderful, a new favorite animation ever.

This animation style kinda reminds me of a softer cas van de pol, and I love it

I moved to a small down in florida after living in the city my whole life. I learned small towns are NOT for me, but I can always appreciate them. The quietness, the cows, the fields, the nature, it's a feeling you don't get anywhere else.

I hope this animation doesn’t end up being underrated, I love this so much ❤❤❤

Love the way the UFO guys and aliens appears like it’s completely normal thing. Showing they are the reflection of her imagination. It brought back memories of my childhood. The days I went into the trees to find dinosaurs.

This is so nostalgic. Every bit of this video reminds me of Poland villages.

I actually loved this. Gave me a huge feeling of nostalgia for the experience of exploration as a child. The childlike perspective helps see all the negative in the world from such a different perspective. Everything is still so new it’s hard to process the implications and instead easier to take each event as their own exciting journey. Incredible soundtrack and honestly really powerful!!

Gorgeous. I loved the lack of dialogue til the end, the silent and subtle observations of a life. The girl on the bridge and the streetlights changing with no cars there to care impacted me deeply. So beautiful!!!!!

This reminds me of moments in my past when I felt the thickness of life around me and had an inkling just beneath the surface that perhaps there really was more than one path extending out before me. These moments when I was most alive. I hope they still come as I grow older.

this is amazing! The vibe is immaculate with that sound design and pretty laid back feel to the story that just throws you into a nostalgia mood i just- damn it is so good and all that paired with the style MMM IT'S TASTYYY.

This feels very personal and real, like, it's based on the artist's first-hand account, which is good. Some of the best stories are the ones based on events in real life. This one however doesn't tell much of a story. More like it just sets the tone of one; a series of events that once happened in a person's life that they remember which the animation is loosely based on. Really chill vibe. I like that.

I love it! QwQ Very contemplative, some scenes remind me of Spirited Away, FLCL and A Letter to Momo. The character designs are also great!

This was so mesmerizing. The simplicity and dreamlike nature of this just awakens something deep in my soul, the part of me that is fascinated with the abnormal nature our world continues to go, and the ever changing things that happen even when we just sit and watch there will always be something coming along, and in this silent dance of smallness and seemingly insignificant interactions, our whole world is shaped in a small package and the vastness of the world seems much smaller, it's comforting. What I do what I don't do, it all doesn't compare to what I allow to happen when I let the world move around me and choose to not let all the hustle of life bother me in the slightest. Pain, fear and depression will pass, I love what I am and I love this miserable and awful world.

I love the short so much !! If you guys are searching for more slice of life, i highly recommend you to read "Sunny" by Taiyou Matsumoto. It follows the life of kids in some sort of orphanage during the 70’s or 80’s in japan. And we see them in there everyday life. It’s both mundane and very intense. I found the writing of Taiyou Matsumoto to be incredibly precise. It shows perfectly how melancholic and blunt hids can be in that context, but there are also sincere and still a bit innocent.
