Great show! Our family had a firework company until the early 70's, until my Uncle Louie died. I started shooting fireworks when I was 14, my grandfather taught me everything I know. Everything said in it is so true. "It's in your blood" "Love the smell" "It's not about the money" "FAMILY" Be safe fellow Pyro's

i learned a lot watching this, i work seasonally for a small mom and pop store and my love for fireworks grows every day i get to be there.
This really is so relatable for me! I am crazy about fireworks for als long as I can remember, and the cool thing about fireworks is that they really do bring people together!
Just got into fireworks 3 years ago.. long story short I’ve been shooting 5 inch every year. I’ve loved every second. And so does everyone I love. I’m looking to move beyond that but at the end of the day, family is what is the most important. No matter how big they are (the fireworks) they will love every second as long as everyone is together. Beautiful documentary, my love only grows more!! Every year I try to up the ante and it’s been great so far, can’t wait to get to the real big stuff!! Much love from the east coast of the US! 🤍🤍
Awesome. I couldn't afford the DVD thank you for posting this
Seeing the kid handed a cigarette to light fireworks brought back a lot of memories.

Thank you so much for including Greece! St. Marcos is one of our favorites, and we ask him for his prayers to Christ our God for health, community and peace.
El maravilloso mundo de los fuegos artificiales. El Arte de iluminar el cielo y realizar tan diversos e infinitos y hermosos efectos. Gracias por su excelente Documental.
Pyrotechnics is certainly the most labour intensive, dangerous, expensive, and creative form of art there is. People have no idea how demanding this work is. Pyro is the most difficult yet impressive art there is!
What a lovely movie!! Its so beatifull to so how does people love their jobs. And the most important the love for fireworks.
What an awesome look at the firework industry. From the beginnings to its current state, this has it all. After years of lighting small fountains and such, I was finally financially able to up my game a bit. I bought a Cobra Remote Firing System (shown in this documentary) and the ability to buy an amount of fireworks to put on a beginner "show". While I had to use the consumer legal small stuff in the US, I was still able to put on a show that I later learned (from those that attended the Pro shows nearby) was better than then Professional Shows in the area. After my 1st show, we soon had people coming from several states to enjoy the firework "shows" I did for the 4th of July. To say that put a bit of pressure on me is putting it lightly, but it also gave me the encouragement to keep upping my game! There was one thing that everyone from different countries in this video kept relating to, the smell of fireworks. It's something that I can't explain, but understand completely, as I like to move into the smoke in order to smell the powder after discharging the firework. It's now 2023 and the 4th of July is just 7 days away. This year I have over 700lbs of fireworks I'm going to light off, and I've been designing the show in my mind for well over a year as my 60th B-Day is on the 15th of July of this year, so while I'm a bit nervous, the excitement far outweighs this. I'm going to take videos of this year's "show" and post it online. When I do so, I will add a link so you can check out the fun I've spent a lifetime designing. To my fellow Pyros, Let's Get Ready to Exploooooode!!!!

My favorite holiday is July 4th because there is fireworks! This movie is fascinating to see how fireworks are done all over the World! I think I need to see some of these!
THE WORLD LOVES FIREWORKS THE BEST DOCUMENTARY ABOUT FIREWORK AND CULTURE 🔫
I find it quite funny that nearly every culture either invented a new person they wanted to pay homage to, or just said "we used to celebrate that dude differently, but let's invent a story around it so we can just shoot fireworks"
Great doc and long live fireworks! If USA ever bans them I’m learning a new language and moving out
25th time watching this and it gets better every time
Very nice movie!!!! Big Like
Good movie! especially the italian crazy traditions. One day i will come to the PGI! Here in Holland our tradition/culture is being criminalized the past years. During new year dutch people like to shoot consumer fireworks. Recent years and due to some incidents the anti fireworklobby is getting a voice in the media. Nowadays if the composition of a firecracker is over the limit this can result in heavy penalties.
This is an awesome movie..never seen something like this before👍
That dog, damn man hahahaha true pyro. Greetings from Greece

From 26:50 to 33:00 you can see the built up to the loudest fire works happening in the world.... Fireworks happening in Kerala, India.

As a kid I blew myself and my cousin up many times making fireworks at a pretty young age. I am 40 now... Never imagined some cultures wanted to do this as grown men (get hit by them, hah). I was pretty much trying to avoid it but never afraid. I had the blessing growing up in Texas and the North country NY near Montreal where I could buy incredibly stronger fire works. The fireworks in Mexico, India, Spain, Italy intrigues me. Especially the proximity. We had a terrible accident close to Kilgore Texas that killed several people when a warehouse exploded by accident, a very big one. I think the reasons these draw men and women to toward them is the correlating ideas of warfare and celebration. They were originally used in early wars, after all. People have a distinct desire to live close to danger and adrenaline and now, government's are trying to destroy humanity and our desire to be drawn together by celebration and even conflict. While they use us a pawns and cannon fodder in the most destructive devices known to man. They want us dead and disheartened. That makes me very sad. Gone is the celebration of mankind and beauty for it's fake, silent destruction.

Okay, not gonna lie. As a former AV tech and audio engineer. Former military man... I'm going to say I want to go and see every show and help rig shells, build fireworks, learn more and help create the beauty of choreographed controlled destruction. Instead of death taught to men in the military. Just happiness.

@ar-sithf.austin3744 + Fireworks were not originally used in war. They were originally used in China to scare off demons and were then used in war. The first report of this is when what are today called firecrackers were used against the Huns to scare them away during a siege...

Super nice production 👌🔥
in Brazil there was a fireworks party called "war of swords", consisting of booms like rockets, made with bamboo, were released on the ground and chased people. many people had accidents, today I deduce that this translation was prohibited, as I never heard about it again.

I absolutely love that beginning! Is that at New Chautauqua? I've always wanted to hear their Fourth of July Celebration with the Russian Orthodox bells and the cannon. Do they still do that? I know it brought tears to the eyes of everyone who went to it.
