First clip with your voiceover was straight gold 😂 and as always great tips too!
Streaky is always so straightforward with the Tips and Tricks! You apply anything he teaches to your mix and it works flawlessly!
I like to take the laptop out to the car and mix the track out there.

Buy some Slate VSX headphones and you can do the car test... indoors. :)
I am beyond blessed to find this channel. Thank you so much for all this knowledge!
Great tip Streaky! The staff you teach are different from what is typically heard... Thank you!
Last nights mix was trash in the car test this morning, watched this along with a few others on this channel on my lunch break. Tried a few of these tips out and it’s absolutely popping now! So thank you for sharing these!
Streaky is one of the best here on youtube. Great tip man.
Hey Streaky, absolutely loving your content. I'd love to see videos on how to address low end (if it's different at all from this approach) for genres where bass is the focus, like drum n bass or dubstep. Keep up the excellent work, these videos are better that the vast ocean of your competitors' content.
Always a pleasure listening to you! Thanks for the tips 💪🏻
The Professor! Another 💎
Excellent stuff. Subscribed. Cheers.
Great! Cheers Streaky.
Nice one, this definitely helps, thanks for spreading knowledge 💓
I just wanted to say that I'm so happy that i found your channel you teach me a lot thru your Online videos. Even it's Short Or full vids. Thanks sir Steaky. Greetings from Philippines. ❤️🤘🏻

This is very useful tip. Thank you! Much appreciated!
Very informative tutorial Streaky! I love that you don’t waffle and have such a wealth of common sense knowledge. Look forward to looking over your other videos and trying out new ideas. 👍
Love this trick! Thanks, Streaky!
fantastic video mate! I love pro-mb its so versatile. My favourite plugin
Your a legend! Thanks for the epic & on point tips 🔥
The way you explain it is man!! 🤯
Amazing! thank you!
Awesome!😊😊
Great tip, Streaky!
Pro tip.....start with quality sounds in the production phase. Get the bass smacking in the mix phase.
I even heard the difference in my AirPods.. as always Streaky, thank you. You’re very articulate and explain things so simple for beginners and experts alike. We Appreciate your work!

yeah its the KZread compression that crushes the sound.. many mixing videos are that play comparisons are totaly wrecked. But we just have to trust the experts and try ourselves
Gosh! that fairchild thing makes it pro sounding right there, cheers Streaky 💪
Thankyou very much I appreciate your experience.
Perfect!!
Much cleaner! This helped a ton
I have learnt a lot 🔥🔥🤝🏾
Yu must have a boatload of plugins. It would be interesting to see you do a video using no plugins, other than what came with Logic.

Invest in your craft. FabFilter is pretty a much have set of plugins.
You should have way way more subscribers to be honest, so many youtubers talking crap on mixing and production, you pretty much nail it.
Trust In Streaky 🐐
🙏🏻hey thanks man
When using a low cut filter there will be a buildup around the cutoff frequency. So your track becomes louder without noticing it.
streaky you’re the goat
Ohhhhh cheeky streaky
your the goat man.
Man Streaky you been upgrading my game to the next level
God bless this man ❤
Enjoyed this. Signed up to two of your courses. Is this for master out or for while mixing on kick alone?
You are a genius 😊
Great video
That intro!!!!😂😂😂😂
I love this guy 😂❤
You’re an awesome 👏🏻 🤩 KZread channel.
Way to pass the car test - experience
come'on guys, who paused in the intro? 😀
ADTR great plugin!
“We all crave a tight low end” the reason we are all here 😊
😂 love the thumbnail Streaky
there's just too much to learn from you, but if I can take away just a few things from your channel, I know my music will be better instantly - thanks Streaky! ☺

This man is a genius 💯
There's much more usable information in a 5min Streaky video than in a thousands of 40min videos of other people.
Great tips but the most important on making a thicc kick and bass is to find the right kick and bass synth😉
That intro was epic 💥
"You don't have massive speakers like I do." ... "But oh... I do. Haha ha haaaaaaaaaa!" Lightning crackles overhead.

Love it. 😂
What computer system and enhancements do you use, and what Audio cards do you use?
So obviously, this is for a pre-master, but would it net the same effect if the low-end elements are compressed, not multi-band compressed, but compressed 4:1 or more, in the mix on a per-track basis? Also, would a dynamic EQ like FF Pro-Q3 accomplish the same thing?
Any chance you can do something like this with stock standard out of the box Logic plugins?
What other Compressor (that comes with Logic) would you recommend for doing this, if I couldn’t afford to buy the Fair-Child plugin? Thanks!
'well there's stuff going on at 20hz, I don't wanna cut it off...' 😂😂😂
His all statement varified he is pro engineer. Thanks for all your tips sir.
Yo streaky what was that lufs plugin you said put before and after so you can keep a clear recording
Is not just a smack that you get is a reallly good ssssssmack to it hehe ;) good one
I just started recording guitars and iv been mixing them using my skull candy crushers whic have WAYY too much bass but the recording seems to have the perfect amount of bass
Is this best used on the master / 2mix or would it be preferable to do it on a submix with bass elements? If the master or 2 mix, is this the first thing you would set up in your chain?
Vocal compression cocktail next goat
I like the track, who is the artist? I'd like to check out any of their other releases
Love that Fairchild
Streaky, first, thank you for all your helpful content. Do you ever work on rock tracks? Of course mixing comes down to personal tastes, but have you applied these to any rock tracks?

Yep I’ll use some in the next video
i didn’t know there was a match function on the A|B plug-in 😅😅 thanks!!!
Bubble bobble... So it's a minimal gain with pop bass around 70~80Hz and lamp emulator above it. Pufff I use EQ curve (REW) at the bottom and PTEq - X (free) VTS plugin minimal tube (ECC82) with a bit of bandwidth gain and vocal PEQ (for uper mids, lower highs - female overtones also minimal gain) anyway.
How would one determine when it is best to use the MB in Dynamic Phase or Linear Phase - High?
Wow. Huge difference 💙
Could this trick be used on a master chain ?
You played a much longer section with 'After' than 'before' with the Fairchild. Any reason for that?
Yeah. This guy knows something. (Yes, he knows about music, too.)
What we need is the recipie of how to do this for Rock music in Ozone 😁
I am a registered follower. Plus I got your mix package, just tried to get your cocktail which did not happen I filled in and submitted the form. But the form would not submit,.and just sat there steering at the details I had just put in to send to you

Eye candy and then Ear candy! Yes
what do you think about sending kick and bass separately in the mix with regard to low end bus and high bus.. try to explain I take kick and bass summed up and send them to separate 2 buses a little at a time. one bus will run low end from 20-195hz and the 2bus from 195hz-20khz.. so i am very flexible regarding low end control and punch.. In mastering I have raised a low shelf at about 1-2db with the amek 200 plugin at about 15hz, which then also gives a very nice punch in the low end and looks tidy. the amek 200 sounds really great in the low end and then I compress the entire tape.. but the way you do it, I have to test it with muliband compresson in the low end and then with the farchilde where it starts to work from 150hz. whether the result will be even better!😉 thanks for the tip!🙏

You’d get it a lot louder, if the low end is controlled with the Pro-MB. Talmbout -4 -6 depending on the genre. Bass takes up a lot of electric energy just like in real life.
the preset is ffp for me but fabfilter is only letting me do fst, n when i got it into the preset list it wouldnt work
Should this be on the master channel ?
"tight low end" ;)
The low end intro…❤
My first thought was to compress that initial low end at around 2Hz at a 1:1 ratio.

The "before" is way too short in duration to have made your comparison worthwhile.
Máster 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Why sings have to start from start to end?
hahaha focus on the low end guys. Slap the lows.
Concerning the first clip, I think I prefer a big, boomy low end. But to each their own.

@@Streaky_com So both on the mix bus and master bus we should apply this to?
fairchild alternative?
But are you doing this in the master step? Or can i do this in my bass and kick mixbuss?
@charlesbonkley
Жыл бұрын
Yes, this would during the mastering stage. I posed this question as well, and I believe all of this could be accomplished, with more accuracy and effect, in the mixing stage, on a per-track or bus basis, but assume Streaky and other MEs will receive the file they receive and it may not be 100% apparent that the low-end was mixed properly...or maybe it was...but if the technique works, even if it's doubling up compression (i.e., during the mixing stage AND the mastering stage), and it sounds better, then it works...right?
Hi, these files don't work on windows, why?
When you cut a 20hz, is it important to use a linear phase eq or not?
