Hello, Ernesto! I would recommend using a computer since there's a lot of writing (for the essay portion), and the exam graders usually have an easier time reviewing typed answers. Best wishes to you!

Hi Lia. I'm in Tennessee working under the supervision of an attorney. Can anyone out of state take the CA Bar Exam? I'm trying to find a way to bypass law school so the VA can accredit me faster to help veterans. They accredit attorneys way faster! I'll happily fly down there and take the exam if it's that simple lol.

Hi, Thomas! If an applicant has an active license in another state/jurisdiction and has been certified as in good standing for at least 4 years immediately before the first day of the CA Bar Exam applied for, they may elect to take the one-day Attorneys’ Examination (as attorney applicants) instead of the general Bar Exam

For foreign lawyers what's your suggestion? How many months of preparation may be enough?

@@AntiMasonic93 agreed! I also think 3 to 6 months of preparation should be sufficient for foreign lawyers, Saraf. Longer than 6 months may run the risk of forgetting information since it’s a lot to remember/maintain in your brain. 😅

Hello! California has many good law programs - in northern California, there's UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Santa Clara University. Meanwhile, southern California has UCLA, University of San Diego, as well as University of Southern California (USC). Best wishes to you 🙏

Hi, RK, thanks for watching! Best wishes on your bar prep 🙏 1. After passing the California bar exam, you may work as an attorney at a law firm, government agency, or nonprofit organization (for example) in California. Generally, you must take the bar/be licensed in the state where you intend to practice; if you wish to practice solely U.S. immigration, however, you can take the bar in any state - doesn't have to be California - since U.S. immigration is subject to federal, not state, law 2. Usually, salary depends on the practice area as well as where in California you practice - for instance, those who work in the San Francisco Bay Area or LA may earn more than those who practice elsewhere in the state due to cost of living. Typically, newly licensed California attorneys can expect to earn anywhere from around $70,000 (maybe for government or nonprofit positions) to $180,000 (for big law firms or companies) per year 3. Some legal jobs that don't necessarily require the person to bass the bar/be licensed include academia (i.e. professorship), judicial clerkships, compliance officers for companies, arbitrator, and some government positions like lobbyists or analysts
