Hi guys! In this Paso Doble Lesson video, you will learn the most popular Paso Doble moves - Chasse Cape, Twist Turns, Promenade Counter Promenade, Grand Circle
Promenade to Counter Promenade. This follow along dance tutorial was created to help you understand and practice the most important technical elements for these figures including footwork, legwork, timing and Leading & Following and Shapes. The Chasse Cape is my most-adored Paso figure. It allows me to do those dramatic Cape stretches at the end of each 3-foot chasse, and I can do the mnenomic "chas-se CAPE! bring the lady around from one side to another, chas-se CAPE! bring the lady around from one side to another" to master this greatest of choreographic figures in this Latin dance of the bullfight. Also, in the Chasse Cape, every time I pass the follower from one side to another, this is almost like an advanced variation of the "La Passe". Of course, it is French for "the pass". I had been to France in 2005 where I danced paso doble socially with my former French girlfriend!!!!!!
Good teaching thank you. Some of the footage are missing the lower part of the legs making it difficult to learn got the feet part. It will be good if you can include all the for see you footwork in all parts. 🙂
The Spanish folk dance "Flamengo" is said to have contributed much to the Latin Dance Paso Doble in terms of foot techniques....
We rarely learn Paso in the class or freestyle. Thanks for the Paso tutorial.
