在2020年,《纽约时报》评选2020年最值得去的52个地方中,秋杰亦被列入榜单内,排名第20位。
秋杰 (马来语:Chow Kit)是马来西亚吉隆坡市中心中部的一个区域,名称来源于位置横贯其核心区域的秋杰路(Jalan Chow Kit),而秋杰路是以马来西亚著名的锡矿主和企业家陆秋杰命名,在十九世纪曾担任议员。
秋杰开埠历史悠久,因其地理位置及区域内的华人聚集区-中南路(Jalan Tiong Nam),因此又被当地老一辈华人称为中南区,曾经是吉隆坡最繁华的商业区。
因吉隆坡市中心人口大量外移之故,目前秋杰一带的居民大多为外籍劳工,是吉隆坡最大的爪哇裔及非洲裔社区。在2020年,《纽约时报》评选2020年最值得去的52个地方中,秋杰亦被列入榜单内,排名第20位。

Chow Kit was included in the New York Times' list of the top 52 places to visit in 2020, ranking 20th.
Chow Kit is an area in the central part of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, named after Chow Kit Road, which runs through its core and is named after the famous Malaysian tin miner and entrepreneur Loke Chow Kit, who served as a member of Parliament in the 19th century.
Chow Kit has a long foundation history, and because of its location and the Chinese congregation in the area - Tiong Nam Road - it is also known as Tiong Nam District by the older generation of local Chinese, and was once the busiest commercial area in Kuala Lumpur.
As a result of the massive exodus from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, the area around Chow Kit is now mostly populated by foreign workers and is the largest Javanese and African community in Kuala Lumpur. ~ Wikipedia
