I was right in front of you 😭 2014, in college and in Hawaii at the time messing around, 2016 about to turn 21 in Portugal with my ex, 2017 WILDIN WILDIN in Miami, the Bahamas, London, Mexico, everywhere! The underrated GOAT and godfather of R&B of this generation, no debates. Been bumping him since summer 2013 when his first tape dropped, and been a fan ever since. He’s influenced so many artists that came BEFORE and AFTER him. At one point even Drake himself said PND was his favorite artist. So that should already let you know this dude is far beyond talented. Salute to PND hope he’s doing better, and I can’t wait for the album PND4 🔥

But the problem is when your an artist who is popping it’s harder to focus on helping the artist you signed get up there, cause that’ll take away from the time you could be spending becoming a bigger artist yourself. Trust me Drake had the resources and connections to get a bigger distribution deal for OVO which would provide more money for his artist to shoot visuals, pay for artists to collab with other artists, and promote and market them on a larger scale, but that’s more time being taken out of his own career and money being potentially lost, and owed back in the long run. So Drake played it smart in terms of business on his end, however only people who are really fans of OVO will know how talented Roy Woods, Majid Jordan, and DVSN were. Partynextdoor on the other hand, has pretty well known catalog (wish it was more known) and will also be remembered through his contributions for Rihanna, since “Work” is a timeless anthem. That’s why artist that sign to other artist majority of the time never reach the amount of success their fans felt like they could of.
