    For those who got lost during adding the Geometry comp, just RIGHT CLICK the output of the previous operator to add the Geometry. Dont just add it from the top menu.

    Thanks! I've been building my stack of components steadily over the past year. It's great to watch these tutorials to find little tricks that will make whole scene completely different. TD is a great tool for visualising anything like the way DAW is for creating sounds, but more.

    At 6:00 if you want to have more control over the phase, create a: CHOP Consant -> CHOP Speed -> CHOP null and drag the CHOP null in the phase.

    to correctly add geometry without the torus is to right click on the output blue bar on the particle and select com geometry. Thanks for this tutorial!!

    For those of you struggling with the Geometry function, make sure you *right click the right particle dialogue link.* Took me longer than it probably should have to figure this out

    Great tutorial but im struggling with the geometry. It is bringing it in with a torus? If i go in and change it to have an in and out, inside it displays but coming out a level it does not?

    Beautiful work, i'm following this step by step but the outcome looks quite a bit different. First thing I noticed was that the camera node is much more zoomed in on mine, however on yours it appears to be similar to the geo1 node. How can I make them similar?

    Figured it out....dropped the geo OP in first and then reverse engineered the others in the front of the chain.

    You may have discovered already, but you can turn the ramp 1 from white to black, rather than black to white. You may then want to make other adjustments as it can look a little washed out - but a great pastel effect!

    You could turn up the drag on the particles - that works quiet nicely.

    Yes sure, but I can't explain how to do so in a comment like this. I might make a tutorial on the kinect if there's interest, but there's also already pretty good tutorials out there which you can implement.

    3:37 I get a warning from my render "A MAT is using texture coordinates, but the SOP being used with it does not have UV attributes. UV (uv) attributes can be created with the Texture SOP. And my object is black instead of what. I don't know what to do

    I recommend using the Movie File Export TOP. Just google it, it's pretty straight forward :)

    audio input file - audio spectrum - analyze and add : op('analyze1')['chan1'].eval() as an expression to a parameter you want to animate with the sound. (that's the quick option) :) (analyze1 if it's the name of the analyze you used. same for the chan.)
