Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen said Thursday he does not want to become chief justice and instead urged his senior colleagues to accept their possible nomination to the post.

I look up to this guy.. I had been listening to oral arguments and I cant stop myself from admiring this guy! Sa lahat ng naglalait jan, try to listen to oral arguments held by Supreme Court. You judge a person by his actual performance, not by what you only hear from your bigot friends/bloggers. Our justices perform by constitution, not by political bigotry... Without adherence to seniority, he is an outstanding candidate for CJ.

he's not being hypocritical. he's just being practical, kasi sabi nya he doesn't have the capacity yet. not yet. in time. pakinggan nyo sa mga oral arguments sa sc. hindi yan dilawan. yung withdrawal nga ng pilipinas sa icc, he's leaning more sa political question, na that's the president's prerogative and the sc cannot intrude into it.
Karen should learn from him, very objective and never plays politics and be bias. I thought since he is an aquino appointee, he tends to be bias, but now he earns my highest respect.I admire him now so much. The way he looked at Karens questions that is leading and tends to lean to side of partiality:he answered it calmly, objectively, while upholding the institutions reputation makes him and deserves his place in the highest court. In fact, I believe he is going to be a very good chief Justice in future, though he said he does not want it, but who knows. God bless you justice..

Hindi yan magaling. Pinagpipilitan nya sa oral arguments sa Martial Law sa Mindanao na hindi daw rebelyon ang nangyari sa Marawi. Hindi daw sapat ang pag raise ng Flag ng ISIS sa Marawi bilang rebelyon. At ang mas nakakapagtataka ay sa dinami-dami ng pinatay na mga Sibilyan ng mga rebeldeng muslim sa Marawi at sa pag-agaw ng kapangyarihan sa lokal na pamahalaan ay hindi pa rin daw matatawag na rebelyon. Anong tawag doon? Katangahan?
The Future Chief Justice!
Very intelligent. U know when pnoy appointed him as assoc justice, i am not interested to even read the background of leonen because im in perception that pnoy is appointing someone that he knows personally(subjective) not objective. BUT last week when i heard him questioning the lawyer of marcos and sec calida regarding the burial of former pres. Marcos, i was shock that he is very very inyelligent! I hope he will be chief justice in future.
Wag ka sana mag dilang anghel sa sinabi mong maybe hanggang 60 ka lang. :(

Matagal na sya malawak mag isip. Di lang ready ang masa sa kanya.
Huwag kasing magmadaling makakuha ng posisyon sa Supreme Court kung hindi kompleto ang requirements lalo na ang SALN. Ganoon din sa pag-apply ng work sa pribadong kumpanya o gobyerno.

justice leonen you are more on pogi points, youre not working yet youre receiving huge amount of salary that came from our taxes.

hypocrisy this man has . the mere fact you accept a position in the supreme court you aspire for the highest position because that is something that not everybody get a chance to even being in the supreme court in the first place. and all his answers are safe in short playing safe walking Kenya saving his own skin tapos sasabihin nyah wala syang interest sa puwesto?
