I could listen to this everyday. The only downside is that I live in California and the closest set of change ringing bells are in Washington.

britainluver431 thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed this video. Washington Cathedral has a similar peal to these... a ring of 10 bells like these, both have 32cwt tenor. Ours tuned to C#, Washington Cathedral slightly higher pitched being in D. I have rung there but a long time ago, 1989 I think.

I mean Washington State, not Washington D.C. But yes I have heard of the ones in the National Cathedral.

I would simply love to sit outside and listen. They are a lovely pea but I think the tower and the location makes them sound so nice outside.. The treble really stands out . In May I made my first trip to the US from Australia and rang at Washington Cathedral, another fantastic ten with great accoustic in the ringing room. Must admit though Taylor tenors seem to have more breath in them that Whitechapel. My dad was a bell hanger at Whitechapel, he had a saying , Whitechapel for trebles, Taylors for tenors. I do agree, Taylors make brilliant tenors. I rang at Maidstone in 1965. There was a foundry outing to Kent ( more like a booze up) We also rang at Quex park, not a good 12 to say the least.
