Yeah, I’m a cancer survivor so I’ve had my fair share of bad doctor experiences, my worst was a doctor quizzing me on my condition just after giving me a tumor diagnosis, and then telling me there was a 40% chance I’d be able to use my arm again. Luckily we didn’t continue seeing her and I can definitely still use my arm.

If you find yourself required to be catheterized again maybe ask about a Suprapubic catheter. From testimonials of users of them (usually para/quadriplegic patients) they're much more comfortable as they don't go through the urethra but instead is surgically inserted through the abdominal/bladder wall. I would have preferred it to the urethral catheter I needed after my heart transplant.

Long story short: Following my back surgery, i could not relieve myself, because of pain (nerve) in my back, and only having water in my stomach for some 20+ hours, my stomach was full! so i got a catheter put in my penis, and the relief from wetting (emptying) my bladder, was way better! then the discomfort from the catheter

I have been incontinent many of years but I also have bladder retention. My bladder never empties all of the way even when it contracts on its own. To keep from having infections I pas a catheter almost daily. Now sometimes after surgery when given anesthesia or on strong pain meds or just a day my bladder decides I will lock up and can not pee. I will use a straight catheter but if in the hospital or if it happens more than a few times in a row they will place a foley. Now even though I know my balder is being emptied 24/7 I still can not sleep without a diaper on. I do sometimes have Fecal IC but it is seldom when a sleep so not really a need for a diaper, but I have woke up with poop diapers more than once. I guess I have gotten use to that comfort a diaper provides and I just feel wrong it going out of me straight into a bag. That and my Bladder spasms so much worse with a catheter in it. I mean it spasme a lot anyway. I o not kno ho your channel was ever suggested to me but you are just so sweet and tell it as is but even more important you always keep positive attitude even though your body is not always your friend. So good for you. I have a daughter that is just a few years older than you that I do not see often enough and you remind me a bit of her. I seen part one I am about 3:20 into this one.

Hey, how are you?! I spent two years with an overactive bladder not wearing diapers since 19 because I didn’t know adults were actually wearing them. What I thought no one talked about was something I was uneducated about at 19. As soon as I realized it was an option, I was quick to jump into pull-ups because I was tired of living in fear for every time I was out. But, the pull-ups did the bare minimum and it wasn’t until the ABDL community let me know of the diapers, to help me understand that I needed more protection than a pull-up was not able to provide me. It sucks to be a guy and have a catheter. Our wee,wee changes size and shape and it does what it does even with a catheter. Morning wood and that tube sucks. It gets dry around the tube and then as you get longer i n length the tube does not want to let the wee,wee slide over it and it pulls, burns, and hurts like hell. I have had to have hundreds of foleys and 10s of 1000's of strait catheters but they are not as bad. FYI also guys normally just shake once or twice no paper. But they always say if you do it more than twice you're playing with yourself. 🤣 To be honest I normally go in the diaper so no need to shake. Sorry if all that is TMI but I figure you can handle it without taking offence. So sorry you got a bitch nurse. I have had my fair share of those. 700 is a lot especially if you are not use to holding your pee. 400 is considered a normal full bladder. Back when I was younger than you and first started having my bladder problems I went to the ER and they started draining it. (this is before bladder scanners was being used) they emptied out about 1100 and then my bladder went into the worse shock and spasms. They clamped off the catheter and let it not drain for about 30 to 45 min and had to give me pain meds in a IV to help with the spasms. After that time they opened it back and another 400 plus came out. All total I almost filled one of those big night bags. I had almost 1600cc. They told me they should of clamped it off at about 800 and then let my bladder come down in size. draining out over 1000 will thro the bladder into spasms. So keep that in mind if you ever have this happen again. My bladder was huge back then due to retention and being a truck driver. 🤣 I had overflow IC and some urge as I have had interstitial cystitis since before high school. My bladder won't hold but about 300 now and I still always have around 100cc left. But anything over 300 kicks me into painful urges and ladder spasms I can not hold. Anyway sorry to ramble on. In just felt like sharing a little as it always makes me feel good knowing I am not suffering alone. Keep your head up and don't take that shit from doctors or nurses. Ask for a supervisor. Some people just are not meant to be in the medical field.
