You’re having similar issues to me. The van lines are not square so wider at bottom than top of the panels. Also like previous comments, I may have to apply in smaller sections. I have a LWB traffic and the panels at the back are over a meter long and I went for the first panel in one go and it was tough
That new plastic insulation looks awesome- I've been around the glass fibre stuff a lot over the years and it's a nightmare! Not seen those cable rods before but gonna bookmark them- they'll come in handy at some point! Van's looking great 👍🏻

Thanks buddy !! Yes mate them rods have come in handy for so many different things 👍
Thermoliner needs to be applied in smaller more manageable pieces. It's much easier that way. And you have to make sure there is no air trapped between the thermoliner and the metal. Good job though. This insulation method is by far the best for a van. For optimal results, you should cover all the metal surfaces and not only the inside of the side panels (Dodo Super Liner should be easier to work with for the other areas). In the end you shouldn't be able to see any exposed metal anywhere. That way you minimize thermal bridges and you create a very effective vapor barrier that will work in all conditions. Also, inside voids where it is impossible to reach should be insulated with polyurethane foam to avoid having exposed metal that will introduce condensation. Exposed metal wherever it is, will be a condensation point where the air will condensate, and moisture will start dripping from there and travel all the way down till it reaches the water drains in the bottom of the bodywork or until it heats up again and evaporates.

Thankyou for the information.. very useful 👍
The very job I was tackling this morning. I’ve got the dodo mat black foam stuff , once it sticks on that’s it though, can’t move it or it comes apart 🙁

Oh it sounds wonderful 🤣👍
Need to peel back, to apply in small areas.
How many rolls of plastic bottle insulation did you use? Thanks
