Torsion Irregularity check
Mass (Weight) Irregularity check
Stiffness Irregularity Check (Soft Story and Extreme Soft Story check)
During an earthquake, failure of structure starts at points of weakness. This weakness arises due to discontinuity in mass, stiffness and geometry of structure. The structures having the discontinuity are termed as irregular structures.
Stiffness - Soft Story Irregularity:
It is defined to exist where there is a story in which the lateral stiffness is less than 70% of that in the story above or less than 80% of the average stiffness of the three stories above.
Stiffness - Extreme Soft Story Irregularity:
It is defined to exist where there is a story in which the lateral stiffness is less than 60% of that in the story above or less than 70% of the average stiffness of the three stories above.
EXPLANATION:
a) Torsional Irregularity: Torsional irregularity is defined to exist where the maximum story drift, computed including accidental torsion with Ax =1.0, at one end of the structure transverse to an axis is more than 1.2 times the average of the story drifts at the two ends of the structure. Torsional irregularity requirements in the reference sections apply only to structures in which the diaphragms are rigid or semi-rigid.
b) Extreme Torsional Irregularity: Extreme torsional irregularity is defined to exist where the maximum story drift, computed including accidental torsion with Ax =1.0, at one end of the structure transverse to an axis is more than 1.4 times the average of the story drifts at the two ends of the structure. Extreme torsional irregularity requirements in the reference sections apply only to structures in which the diaphragms are rigid or semirigid.

Weight (Mass) Irregularity:
It is defined to exist where the effective mass of any story is more than 150% of the effective mass of an adjacent story. A roof that is lighter than the floor below need not be considered.

بالنسبة ل check ال storey drift يا بشمهندسة
وفقكم الله ورعاكم على هذه الدوره الرائعه ست بثينه .. وسؤالي لتأكيد معلومه سابقه لدي وهي يمكن الاستغناء عن التجيكات عند التحليل الدايناميكي ( عدا ال delta وآل Drif ) ونجاحها .. وضروره عمل التجيكات كامله ونجاحها عند التحليل الاستاتيكي ؟ رأيكم رجاء نحن مستمرون مع حضرتك مع بقيه المحاضرات الي نهايه الدوره ان شاء الله كل التقدير والاحترام لجهودكم الكريمه في امان الله

@@bothainaosama92 واضح جدا ست بثينه .. شكرا لسرعه الرد ذكرت حضرتك تصميم الاسس ببرنامج ال Safe .. ولا أعلم أن كان يتطلب عمل Pile ام لا لهذا ال Tower واتمنى إدخال موضوع ال pile للاسس والرأي النهائي لحضرتك ممنون جدا لجهودكم ست بثينه

وعليكم السلام.. ال step 2 لو طلعت اكبر خدها عشان تكون more safe... بس غالبا بيطلعو زى بعض.. وفرق القيم بيجى من واحنا بندخل حاله الزلازل مدخلين +ecc,,, _ecc_

الله ينور يا هندسة🌸 سؤال مش فاهم ايه اللى هعمله فى torsion chech. يعنى هل اللى انا فاهمه صح يعنى انا الاول اقارن ب ١.٢ لو اقل مش هعمل اى حاجة انما لو اكبر من ١.٢ هقارنها تانى ب ١.٤ لو اقل يبقى تمام ولو اعلى يبقى احسب Ax وارجع افك الحل واعدل 0.05 بالقيمة اللى ظهرت بس لو حصل ان Ax اكبر من 3 يبقى اعيد النظام الانشائى؟ هل فهمى صحيح

انت عندك فى check ال torsion... مرحلتين اول مرحله دى بنقارنها ب 1.20 .. لو اقل يبقى مش هنحسب ال ax... لو اكتر هنحسب... المرحله التانيه اللى هى تانى check.. اسمه ال extreme ده بنقارن ب 1.40.. ولو الأرقام دى طلعت اكبر من 3 لازم نرجع نعدل ف ال statical system...اللى فهمته صح بس ما عدا الجزء بتاع الربط بين 1.2 و 1.4... ال 1.20 ده اول مرحله وده check لوحده... وال 1.40 ده ال check التانى.. مفيش ربط بينهم.. فهمتنى؟

بشمهندسه لو سمحت انا شغال علي منشا ال ax علدول طابعه اكبر من 3 مهما غيرت اماكن الشير وول ف كدا فين المشكله انا جربت امكان كتير جداا
