From the root note: count to 7 which is the last note before your octave, also the note before your Root so thatd be the F to your G, the B to your C. 9ths and 11s are basically your 2nd and 4th notes respectively, one octave higher seeing as we went back to our root note played at an octave.

    Hi, Sir Perf! Just one question. The formula for Am6 following the 2:55 formula should be R - b3 - 5 - b6 (A - C - E - F), right? But why is Am6 formed as R - b3 - b5 - 6 (A - C - E - F#)? Doesn't the use of the natural 6th ruins the Natural Minor Scale (b3, b6, b7) and makes the formula derived more from Dorian (b3, b7) than Natural Minor? This is the one thing that confuses me. Hope you can enlighten this matter. Thanks a lot! Cheers!

  • @OfficialPerfectoDeCastro

6 always default to Major, ecen if added to a minor chord because minor refers to the basic triad, not the scale.

@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro Thank you, sir. In line with that, why do we use b7 then for minor 7th chords and do m/M7 when using natural 7th? Doesn't that make the natural 6th on minor 6 chord become more like m/M6? Hope to hear from you again. Thanks & cheers!

Ano pong klaseng triad yung may root, major 3rd tapos diminished 5th?

  • @OfficialPerfectoDeCastro
