Part 3 - Clay Forming on the Wire Armature - Plaster-Fabric Wrap

In this demonstration you will learn how to cover the clay modeled sculpture with plaster-fabric wrap in order to experiment with various surface texture and to seal the clay to keep the sculpture in-tact.
Materials: clay modeled sculpture (ceramic base clay)
bowl of water
plaster-fabric wrap (Plastercraft)

    Could we still sell it even though it wasn't fired to become ceramic? If so, I guess it is worth less????Please.

    Could you tell me please if the clay had been allowed to dry out fully before the plaster cloth was added or had it still been kept under the damp towel and plastic? Many thanks.

    No, let the clay harden to a "leather hard" state which is stiff like wax but still has a large amount of water content. I kept a plastic bag over water based clay in between working to control the drying. You can keep clay leather hard for months if you control the drying, with the occasion spray of water or leaving damp towel over it while bagged. Good luck!
