This video is part of the 1973 Burt Reynolds Late Night special that he did from the Executive Residence in Nashville. His dream was to have a party there where he could invite all his favorite country music stars and some other friends. And he did just that!

Roger Miller was not only a songwriting genius, but a natural born comedian.
I must have watched this a dozen times. Glen Campbell was on fire during these recordings! His life story is like a dream, from rags to riches.
The way Roger pulled that out-of-tune fiddle down and found the notes - well done. What a group of talented people.

And you asked about the dark haired man and blond woman… They are my parents Winfield and Betty Dunn who at the time were the governor and first lady of Tennessee and hosted this incredible party😊. They along with Dolly Parton and Bobby Goldsboro are still living!

@@louk231 You are a keen observer but no, I was too shy at age 17 but my 12 year old little sister Julie was perfect for the job!!! She even came away with Mel Tillis’ guitar that night. He was so generous ❤️
