Great job on the mounts. In the absence of instructions, experience almost always results in a good result. Looking forward to more on the '49. Be safe and stay well.

This right here is why the Panza kit is the better product. When this whole advance design truck was getting popular, there was 504 kits which are now gone, Henry Panza kit is the original adjustable chassis swap kit with veey clear instructions based on factory gm chassis holes and dimensions. It works. and then this RussD guy came out of the shadows after Steve passed away claiming he had this kit and was waiting for his time, whatever. The proof is in the putting . Bad instructions lead to bad results and or confusion on the way and what guys who do these without much prior fabricating skills will become disheartened and eventually they bail out on their project. I took 4 yrs on my build which is a Panza kit base. It took me a few changes only because i had other features and modifications that were not typical of the kit in or of itself, especially if you use different bumpers or fabricate pieces other than what the AD or the s10 contribute. But i worked around each and every one. Sometimes it takes a little thinking and a few tries to figure something out. The basic instructions should not be so vague, no measurements...how can you even start?? Good luck with your build.

Russ has some kinks to iron out, product and instructions. Could the kit be better with a little more effort? Absolutely. Is it hard to beat for the cost? Absolutely, especially now that I know more about it. I would really like to do a truck with a Panza kit just so I could have a comparison of both kits. if i decide to keep and build the 53 I bought then I’ll use the Russ kit, it’s a rough basket case. If I was building a high end truck then I seriously look into the Panza kit. I appreciate you watching, and thanks for leaving the comment.

Kinda looks like the 1st bracket at 9:15 woulda went on the other side with that piece welded on the corner then it looks like it would have set level with the way the frame is dropping down. Maybe? Just thinking and texting out loud. You got her on there anyway. Nice progress.

I put the driver side mount on the passenger side just to see how it would look but it was far from level. I was thinking the same as you with that tab at the front. The kit has it quirks but I’d probably use it again if I ever did another.

Looks good to me! Always some figuring to do. Especially with limited or no instructions.

Now that you know things in this kit that can be made better like parts and directions you should make your own kit.

If I did another I’d probably use this kit again, the time saving would be worth it. especially now that I know how it works and what to expect

I also ran into this confusion the core bracket doesn't line up with front bumper brackets

Have you done the rear bumper yet? It was a cluster of confusion too.

@LeftForDeadGarage I wasn't planning on running rear bumper. But I'm sure it'll need some minor fabrication. I'm impressed with kit for price and has saved me tons of hours on this build compared to prior
