    Wow this is very detailed and soooo cool. Its my goal to create a Xenomorph costume, and your videos are giving me the general idea of how to make one. The only problem with me is that I don't know much about wiring work and its going to be difficult for me to create the head with a retractable mouth 'tongue'.

    I'm curious, wouldn't cardboard be too fragile for any extended use? What about lamented felt over a cardboard frame? Would that work at all? It could then be attached by industrial velcro like armor. Just curious if that would be better for durability.

    I would use 50 coat varnish on the chest and head for extended durability. Since 50 coat is different from fiberglass. I could use fiberglass for tougher extended durability but only for the head. The 50 coat has a kinda rubber finish to it..also the new rubber sealant (flex Seal) can be used as well. As for the legs arms and other joints I would use 3 coats of liquid latex for durability.

    What kind of tubes did you use for the torso?

  • @ConstantEFX

    @ConstantEFX

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Carson Korchynski the same kind of tubes used in the alien head's viens, there the tubing used for car wiring :) and even used the foam backing roads large and small and with vacuum ribbed hosing, foam gasket ribbed, and aerofaom. once it was all placed I painted with latex three coats to make it durable and flexible

    this is truly amazing, im going to make this for Halloween, last year i did a walking dead theme haunted house and used latex and such on people to give the pealing lip appearance and dried out skin, scared the crap out of people. but this year wanted to make an alien costume to scare more people and be a unique costume. thank you so much!

    the sell them in single sheets-usually in 2x4x8 at the hardware store to make the alien head-as for the other type of foam its mat foam that you can get at any camping store or sporting good store..or eva foam.

    I've got lots of eva foam as I'm making a predator cosplay to go with the xenomorph..yeah I wasnt sure if the pink sheets of insulation would work, as in if it's the same density as the blue you're working with
