I think that if you have to be concerned about how long a pot of water takes to boil you are for sure in the right environment as you’re stressed beyond what you should be. 1-2 minutes shorter or longer to boil water should not matter. Relax and chill out. You’re in the great outdoors, there’s no hurry for anything!. Happy camping and cooking.

I think that the pan you had was too big for the stove. The Biolite isn't designed to cook that way in my opinion and that's why you overheated the battery. You should not have flames shooting out. I have yet to need the fan above med and even low is too hot sometimes. I love having my stove in my UTV. There are a lot of different products out there because there is no perfect one. Nice video(s)

I'll be using bamboo pellets on those.

Using wood pellets in the biolite is the way to go! Pre load and start the fire on top.

I do have some pellets, but I find those burn out quite quickly. How much do you typically put in each time?

Make sure to put the handles to the cup on top of the blower. also point the blower fins up wind so they can get cooled the most, I see it down wind lots therefore not in it's ideal position.

Would this put out enough heat to keep two people warm sitting around it on a 10C summer night?

Yes I did it with my son in 2-5C if you sit close enough it does keep your hands and front of your body warm

My friend and I used our tarps and ponchos to construct a fully enclosed shelter over our hammocks and used this in near freezing weather and rain and just kept feeding it and it warmed the inside very nicely.

Please do it again 🙏. This time have the biolite power and LED strip. Get creative and run it around the cooking spit.

The Lofi requires an external power source, the Biotite makes its own power. Apples and oranges...
