Part 1: Tariq Ali on Chilcot Iraq Report: Tony Blair is War Criminal for Pushing Us into Illegal War
democracynow.org - While Iraq is marking a third day of mourning, a long-awaited British inquiry into the Iraq War has just been released. The Chilcot report is 2.6 million words long-about three times the length of the Bible. Using excerpts from private correspondence between former Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President George W. Bush, the report details how Blair pushed Britain into the war despite a lack of concrete intelligence. For example, eight months before the invasion, Blair wrote to Bush: "I will be with you, whatever." Then, in June 2003, less than three months after the invasion began, Blair privately wrote to Bush that the task in Iraq is "absolutely awesome and I’m not at all sure we’re geared for it." Blair added, "And if it falls apart, everything falls apart in the region.” For more, we speak with British-Pakistani writer, commentator and author Tariq Ali.

THE REALLY SAD THING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE IS THAT THEY ARE NEVER BOUGHT TO JUSTICE AND THEY LITERALLY GET AWAY WITH MURDER, JUST LIKE IT IS HERE ACROSS THE POND! UTTERLY DEPRESSING!
I was in iraq before the invasion, no trouble, happy people, could have a beer outside cafe etc.. and that was during ramadan!
I am a life long labour voter, and I can honestly say that if they get rid of Jeremy Corbyn I will never vote for them again.
Really interesting times we live in. Great interview. Thanks ; ) K
Disgusting.
Where can I watch whole episodes of Democracy now? Its annoying to have to track down these little snippets.
Had a 3rd World prime minister invaded and occupied another country, would he not have been dragged to Hague? Is the International Law only meant for 3rd world countries?
i am not commenting this because i hate western world or anything there are very nice people evan in UK.. But there are people like tony blair the politicians are bad in west...
His tie, lol xX
if he has done these things he should be bought to criminal courts... law is law...there must be other people who has supported these things....
Corbyn brought in record numbers of party voters... Just like Trump. Corbyn has at least got good intentions.
Its pretty clear that Saddam won't give up his wmds and the US and Britain should go into Iraq to stop him! I hope they do it soon!
Shut up and put him on trial - Take Obama and the UN with them !!
Please get G. W. Too
A credit to Mr Blair a) Tony never finished the job off in Iraq (neither did Bushbaby) but more importantly b) closer to home the introduction of the National Minimum Wage (which we call Piss Poor Money) which single-handedly aided in the destruction and break down of the family unit (try leaving home and starting your own life on £80 -£120 a week for the rest of your life! Impossible!). The breakdown of the Individual and the division of the sexes is next if not already in the process.
Agree with everything except for the usual fascistisation of UKIP
Didn't Tariq Ali support the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan?
Report is not precise e.g. on Blair being a lier..
Listen lovely people ,
