I am so please to have found this video. I’m 80 n have been journaling since a teen. It’s my safe quite problem solving world. But I most certainly will make this beautiful peaceful journal. For such beautiful paper to last a long time I would single side laminate that way the paper side would still stick well. Great project

Talk about an unexpected blessing, that is what you are for me! Attended a baptism this morning and tomorrow we will be welcoming a sweet lady into the church. I have been thinking about what to give her as a gift from our ladies and this gratitude journal is perfect! The basket will have a crocheted shawl with a note to tell each time she uses it, it represents our Savior wrapping His arms around her as well as her sisters in Christ; a packet of lemonade with a contact info magnet telling her that when life gives her lemons, let us sisters come to her “ade” (and names/phone numbers of several sisters in our ward who will minister and help), and a pocket prayer quilt. This takes me back to the first ever Maymay video I ever watched (altered comp notebook). 😍

That is one beautiful journal! For gifts, I like the unlined comp books; they are more expensive but very nice. So far, I can only find them on line. Then I take a piece of white cardstock and make ruled lines, tuck that in a pocket, so it can go behind the page if want lines to be able to write straight on the page. The unruled is also great for stamping, etc.

I make gratitude journals all the time for our missionaries at church. Love the way this one is made and will be changing up the way I have been making them.

This journal will make a great senior year keepsake for my #1 granddaughter. And for my #2 granddaughter, who is a cheerleader, I’m on the hunt for paper and stickers that are “all things cheerleading”. Anxious to get started...

I enjoy making these for the ladies of my church. I haven't made the pockets yet, but will start adding those to the next ones I make. I believe what the ladies enjoy the most is that I stamp many of the pages with Maymay's stamps (especially the Scripture club stamps) and add some floral stamps from my stash. The ink does show through on the back side of the page, but this doesn't seem to hinder the enjoyment of the notebooks. Thank you, Maymay, for sharing your creative ideas with us! PS. I usually stamp 3 notebooks with similar colors at the same time.

Love this!! Made a covered journal for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. She is a teacher, and I thought she would have a good use for it. I covered both sides of the front and back covers, and added pockets to the inside covers, but I did not include gussets or ease. Mine is so rudimentary compared to yours, Maymay. So wish I had your video months ago.

I rarely, almost never, subscribe after watching an influencer for the first time. I am very picky! What I liked about your style is how you teach! I have looked high and low for someone who is really able to explain how to make and alter these journals. I have quite a few and wanted have them for my craft fair.
