That happened to me once when I was a little kid. I woke up with my neck stuck to one side, it was so painful I was crying and I ran to my grandmother. She had no idea what to do so she grabbed my head and forced it straight really quickly and I screamed but it fixed it! This was in the early 70s so we didn't know any better. It worked though and she gave me a great neck massage afterwards.

No way, this happened to me when I was 12, just woke up and it got stuck. Was excruciating. Had to go to school with it, I still remember the pain, felt like I'd broken my neck or something. Lasted weeks too, I think I just stretched it out myself over the weeks and it eventually got better. Still have pain in my neck to this day though it never completely left

Very simple to fix. The stretching can also be done at home. Common cause being our crappy posture while sitting at a desk, causing super tight upper traps, levator, scalenes, and suboccipitals. Dry needling and heat help as well!

I had a muscle spasm in my neck for a week when I was 7 in 1962. I stayed on the couch in the living room. Finally went to the doctor, he injected my neck with a muscle relaxant and jerked my neck and it was fixed. I had probably been in a cold draft, that is what has caused a few muscle spasms over my 69 years. I’m careful now!

I've been dealing with torticollis since mid September. I'm seeing my chiropractor regularly and it's slowly getting better. At one point the pain was so unbearable that I ended up in the ER. The ER Dr was a joke. He told me chiropractor care was nothing but a placebo effect and that I just needed a foam roller. After basically telling him I was leaving he eventually gave me a shot of steroid and pain med and a prescription for a muscle relaxer that didn't help. So thankful for amazing chiropractors that actually do help!😊

Torticollis needs to be treated when the person is an infant and monitored until the child can move their head of their own accord. My son had this and we took him to PT. Did some stretches(which he hated). He's good now🤙

Oh my gosh I had this once, it was the worst pain I had ever been in. Went to my primary and they gave me muscle relaxers and pain meds- said it would be about a two week recovery. (I couldn’t be out of work that long!?!?) went to a chiropractor and I was looking straight in 20 minimum and was back to work in two days!!! I’m such a believer in chiropractic

This happened to me at the age of 8 .. needless to say I had to sit at the right of the car window driving to the dr office…. Got to her office and she .. she popped my neck back in and off to the beach we went.. fricking scary to not be able to move my head at all.. I thought I was going to live like that for the rest of my life😊

Maybe ,but the congenital kind babies are born with usually happens in gestation ,at least my did, there is also a high chance with multiples do to space in the womb, some people are luckier then some, if found earlier in infant that get regular physical therapy they can correct the issue before adult adhesion set in, causing a life time of pain and instability and issue ,hope she gets better, just keep working on it.
