    My great aunt, who I vacationed with frequently as a kid all over the west coast, is moving to live with her daughter since her health has taken a turn. I've been distant from her with my own struggles with mental health, and now I know that, after she moves, I may never get the opportunity to see her again. I have spent the last two days agonizing over a patter that speaks to the feelings I have for her and the nostalgia I feel for my childhood with her. Very happy to have found this one with such a comprehensive video tutorial. Thank you so much. I'm certain she will love it.

    Hello, thanks for this great pattern! I followed along but I'm having trouble at row 14. You say to do an increase double crochet behind the first treble, but then you say to skip the stich behind and only do nine back post double crochet for the rest of the row. Did I misunderstand something? Or it is correct?

    I’m sorry I worked this a long time ago and can’t quite remember…. The link for the written pattern is in the description of the video. Perhaps that helps? Or join the designer’s Facebook group to get specific help from her? facebook.com/share/9jv9GoaLEN7es6rg/?mibextid=K35XfP I haven’t had any comments that there is an error, but I’m human and sometimes they creep in…. Hopefully it works out for you with the above helps

    Hi, can I make this pattern with weight 4 acrylic yarn would it look the same or does it have to be weight 2 yarn? Thank you

  • @hookedbytj

    @hookedbytj

    Ай бұрын

    You can use any weight yarn-just use the hook size recommended for that yarn. You will need more yarn than pattern states and it will be larger in final size as well so just make as many repeats until your desired final size.

    @@hookedbytjHi thank you so much for replying. I actually had one more question I thought that since it is thicker yarn that I would need less than the pattern states could you explain a little more? Because from what I searched in google it says that with thicker yarn you need less yarn and with thinner yarn more yarn. Thank you!

  • @hookedbytj

    @hookedbytj

    Ай бұрын

    @@michellezapata8646 if you were making a granny square that is 4”, you would indeed use less yarn of thicker brand. It would also be fewer rounds. If you wish to make all rounds of this pattern the final size will be larger and you would need more balls of yarn. So depends what you want. A certain size? Or complete the entire pattern?

    You can adjust playback speed-several have said they do and it works well. Listen to instructions , go back a bit and slow it down on your device. All my videos are intended to be used along with the designers written patterns so I try to keep in the middle-not too fast, not too slow. Hard to be perfect speed for everyone

Best of luck to you in your crochet endeavours.
