Thank you for taking time to create these tutorials . I had followed some other channels before but they are either time lapsed - which are not very helpful - or not long enough to create a detailed and realistic drawing as the other drawings of the same artist. This tutorial has helped me so much to see how to create the shading around the eye, especially in the bottom section..I tried this but just used black so now know to try it again & use a grey instead 😊 Just re: your line drawing, how do you determine which areas to trace? Sorry if it’s a silly question.

Oh my goodness Shannon, what a talent you have, not only for drawing but also for explaining in a manner easily understood. I am new to drawing and have been looking for a video to help me that is in real time as, that makes it much more easily followed, as opposed to time lapse where little nuances/tips are missed or not given. You have given me a much needed boost in confidence that, even if my drawings are not perfect at the moment, I am doing things right and that with practice, I will improve. Not sure if you have already done a video, but can you share how you develop your initial line diagram, as that I find ultra difficult. Keep up the excellent work

Hi Tony that's so kind thank you! I thought I'd replied to your comment but it hadn't posted it for some reason. I'm glad you find the real-time format helpful, I have to agree when watching a time-lapse it's difficult to see what's actually being done. Glad to hear you've gotten a confidence, keep at it! This video should hopefully help you with your outlines: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2SesaeGdbvAmZs.html Thank you Tony, keep going yourself!

Much better that the speeded up tutorials. I have subscribed and liked. Thank you for making it so easy to follow along. However I found it a bit frustrating when trying to follow along having picked my pallet from the list, you suddenly introduced Ivory and black, causing me to scrabble to get them from my pencil case which I had put away thinking my selection was complete. So I decided to watch the whole section first so no surprises hit me again. Other than that I loved the tutorial format and the finished picture is beautiful. I only hope I can do it justice.
