Thanks very much for your explanation it's really great.. very simple and easy to understand.... I though noticed one thing coz from what I know.. when you have the moment and you integrate it what you find is the slope and not the deflection... You find the deflection when you integrate the moment for the second time.. so I wonder how u named what you were solving as deflection and not slope since you were only integrating once

Yes you can take... You can follow any sign convention but keep this in mind, depending upon that your deflection sign will change, as in downward deflections will become negative and vice versa.
