The bandpass is the best

According to me, a shattered sound occurs on the bandpass due to that glass. And doesn't give it's full sound because the box is also small for bandpass and we can see the back speaker visible from the port. I don't mean to say it's better though 👍

listening to the band pass without headphones sounds like a chainsaw😂

From my own point of view and experience if a bandpass is well designed and according to specs, it out sounds most box designs ,,,,sounding even great especially when using high and speakers. Most people hate them because they fail to built them right.

bandpass is louder if build correct. and more musical . ported is also loud but after a few years of testing y find out that the sound is all that matters not how much you' car shakes ;) .

On a bandpass how do you set your settings on the amp. The subsonic do you start around 30hz and the lpf on 80hz? So it’s playing 80-30hz or is the bandwith smaller?

@@itsjorgieeSF depends on the sub and what the design tells you. If the sub fs it's low like 22 28 something like that it will play lower. But u must test and when you hear no more bass at a certain fs that's the lower point you can start from there . But you must be careful with the xmax so you don't damage the sub. And impedance it's not that easy , but not impossible:)

@@itsjorgieeSF and yes the bandwidth depends on the Chambers and the car pick. It may play 30/80 but I think you will have -3db just get winisd and do some testing 😉

@@TheFreesabin right but relating to the Bandpass box they also have a bandwidth don’t they. Unlike a sealed they play pretty much all the frequencies. The reason I’m asking is I bought one to test it and noticed it really had a peak frequency somewhere around 40-60hz and the rest of the bass lower or higher was cut off even though I had it from 80hz on the low pass and 30hz on the subsonic

Bass is insane with the bandpass sounds more punchy in mids then the ported enclosure, note though if you can't tell I'm a noob to the sub game so my hats off man.

The Bandpass sound better. Deep bass. I like that.

Jise low frequency ki knowledge nahi hai use bandpass acha lga hoga shydd but ported is far better when you record it from behind.. bandpass is louder but when you're listening it to more than 10 minutes your head got stuck but ported ki sound bhtt dur tak sunai deti hai

Depends on the application, alot of people find bandpasses better, including myself. For example a 6th order bandpass can get lower, higher, and have a wider Passband if designed correctly

@@vksmarttech3972 Sealed Subwoofer needs more power to maintain same SPL as that of a Ported enclosure. U need a high power amp if u are going for sealed. Secondly if you have low power u go for ported. Bandpass box requires high power amplifier and is very specific to the T/S parameters of the subwoofer. U need to have exactly the same enclosure as specified by manufacturer else there will be spikes in response....but anyways inside car is sperate story as it extends the overall low end...but if you want to use in ur home environment then poorly designed bandpass will spoil music, although it can be excellent in movies

Bandpass is for real bass to hit hard and don’t care about Quality, port is for a clean bass line. Bandpass is the way to go if you want attention when driving around.
