Words of Wisdom! At 63 years young, I these are very much the words of advice I wish I had been kind enough to give myself at 45. Speak words of kindness to yourself every day. Don't we all deserve it?

I shave my peach fuzz too! What a difference it makes to the way makeup lies on the skin! It exfoliates along with the fuzz removal. It's a win win! ❤

I would add that whatever sparkling water or even plain water, use a nice glass. It just makes it nicer. All great ideas! Thanks, Diana!

Came here to say this! Having a soft drink in a wine glass makes it so much nicer. My favourite is elderflower cordial and tonic water ☺️

Hey I just love these ideas. All the lists I’ve read in articles and heard in podcasts have been the same tired sermons. Your list is one I can buy into, that feels like I’m giving myself a gift instead of a scolding. I love the idea of making it a ritual in my life to have an evening glass of sparkling water, or maybe freshly infused water, and pouring it into a nice glass or goblet as someone mentioned. Your vibe is so practical but gentle and kind. The World needs more of that

Helpful helpful helpful!!! I’m 44 and I feel like I’m moving into a really cool stage of life, my youngest boy is starting pre-K in the fall and I’m coming out of those hardcore no-time little baby years. I’m feeling so inspired to spend a little effort on myself after ten years of 24/7 focus on kiddos. I want to show them that taking care of yourself is a GOOD thing, which is not something I was taught. I have missed being creative with clothes on a tight budget, I have missed spending a little time trying new hairstyles, I have missed all the art of dressing yourself when you are a Brokey Smurf. It’s so much more fun than buying whatever the shops are selling for too much money. I’d rather look like a singer in the B-52’s than the bun-and-legging-bound creature I’ve been for ten years 🤣 Bit of a ramble, sorry!! All of that to say, thank you for your well-thought-out list. We seem to come from similar situations and your advice is actually applicable, where so many well-intentioned ladies give us advice that is unreachable to begin with: Oh just go get your Botox, it’s time! Oh just invest in expensive quiet luxury wardrobe staples and hope your body shape never changes! Thanks for being so real. Thanks for helping me on this journey 💖💖💖

I never thought of "shaving" my peach fuzz. I do a few no alcohol months a few times a year, i just feel like a reset. I did it in June because we were going to stay with friends in Majorca for a holiday in July and cocktails were definitely going to be made 😊. I also knew that with the long summer holidays i was going to need an icy cold drink 🍻.

You know, a reset is always a good thing, and I think there's something to be said for moderation. People get so focused on the fact that they are "doing something" or "not doing something" but there's all sorts of in between. I love a spicy margarita every once in a while and a cold beer with a hot pizza. i don't imagine I'll ever be giving up those experiences but I definitely didn't need the nightly glass of wine. 😂

I really all this time thought you were in your 30’s. Your face has no wrinkles. Shaving your face exfoliates too.
