@@barneyy6942a parrot tends to focus on high emotional states and repeat those. Just saying words, doesn't mean they repeat it. Some words they can hear their whole life and simply ignore. These words / this conversation, clearly had an impact .. poor thing though it must have been so painful for the bird as well, to experience that.

As someone with a parrot that could talk this hurts horribly Becuase you can image what the parrot went through.

That poor Parrot, they're emotionally complex creatures and bond very closely with their humans. Even just the argument would be traumatising let alone the gunshots and blood. I hope it can get over seeing such a thing and that lady is very kind to care for said Parrot.
