I have 2 of these. They were with my other dwarf cichlids but they kept harassing them, as I love them so much I didn't return them to my LFS, I put them on their own, they stay by each others side. 🇬🇧

Yes, let the parents care the fry for a month. On that time the parents will not lay eggs. The result of this is higher mortality rate. Once you seperate them, after 10-14 days they will lay eggs again. Then another month of caring. I called this quality breeding.

With regards to your question about the second batch of egg, based on my experienced, it will not lay eggs until the parents wean their fry.

@@janjiediscovery6179 Hi thanks for replying. Contrary to your experience, my parrots laid eggs even when the fries where still there in the tank. So I removed the fries which made the female stressed out and she ate all the eggs. This pissed off the male and he started harrasing the female. So sadly I had to separate them :(

My polar blues did that the first 4 or 5 times after laying and hatching fry. The fry never lasted a week. They would only have about 20 to 40 fry at a time. They are pros now and hatch over 100+ fry. Give them a chance to learn to be parents.

Few days ago i bought breeding pair of blue polar parrots but they are always hiding under coconut shell which I made. They are also not eating any food just hiding....what should i do?

Dont need to worry thats there nature. It will takes 5-7 days. Feed them with live foods like daphnia and mosquito larvae. Or you may remove first the coconut shell so that they cannot hide and they can explore your tank and be familiar with you as their new fish keeper. Remeber that they are territorial type. Thank you

@@janjiediscovery6179 thank you for your suggestion👍🏼....they have started to come out of the shell more often. I haven't owned polars in the past so I didn't know they needed time to settle which is not the case with other nano fishes which I have. I have also added a few zebra danios in the tank. So far they are doing good. Once the polars settle completely, I'll remove the zebras...

Some of the eggs might not have been fertilized especially if this is their first or second time. Unfertilized eggs will cause problems so parents tend to eat those 😊

Hi, it is sad to hear that. First, i would like to ask the condition of the water in your tank. How often you do the water change? What kind of food you gave to them? And hows your filtration and aeration? These three factors are the most important thing when growing out your fry.

Hi, hows your parrot fish breeding? I apologize for late reply. If eggs turns white it will not hatch because it is unfertilize eggs. This happen especially on first and second drop of eggs.

hi sir, it will hatch on the 3rd day. If eggs turns into white color and fungus develops it will not hatch but if the eggs turns to blackish or dark brown then eventually it will hatch.

hi, sorry for late reply. always remember that all kind of scattered laying egg fish spawned early in the morning. if you feed your breeders with live foods they will spawn every week or seven days.

hello po, ang snow white parrot po ay madaling i-gender if they reach maturity or 5 months old na. ang male po mas malaki ng body compared to female. 30% t0 40 % ang diference ng size. the female develops brown-orange color on its belly.While the males develops humps on its head like a kok. its only a small kok. it appears if they are full conditined. tsaka nagpi-pair po sila like angelfish or oscars.

hello sir, snow white parrot are easy to gender if they reach maturity or if they are 5 months old. at this age they started to breed. when it comes to body size, male is bigger than female 30%-40% difference. female develops brown,orange-like color on its belly. while male develops humps on its head or a small kok. kok most appears if they not stress or they fully conditioned. they also pair like angelfish and oscars.

Bro all this extra steps to make this fish breed is NOT necessary. I live in center Florida, my water is hard 140 to 300 ppm. I use tap to do 25% water changes every other week. And I feed my parrots the cheapest cichlid mini pellets. My fish have about 100+ fry at least once a month. The other fish keep the population in control. But yeeeeeeah. In conclusion, add water to tank, feed fish, change water if you remember lol, and bam! Your fish get busy 😂
