Thanks for this video. This gives me hope that I will one day fully recover. It’s nice to hear from someone who understands, because no one in my life understands what living like this is like. I’m almost at 1.5 years of parosmia and I’ve come to the point where I just feel like I will never recover. So again, thanks for giving me a little hope that time will heal this wound. I pray you are able to improve with the issues you are dealing with right now.

Huge respect to you mate and glad things have improved - I never knew this was a condition. I was dismissed some years back which turned out to be permanent nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) from a reaction to a medication - I definitely have PTSD from it. Everything that was cold felt hot and half my hands and feet would go numb when trying to relaxing. The mental health stuff goes hand in hand doesn't it. I was referred to the hospital intervention team twice lol - I laugh now, but it was hell. The second time was when I couldn't eat for 6 weeks due to intense nausea that I thought would never end. I genuinely get where you're coming from. My advice to anyone who's been through these types of life events, is to not pressure yourself to getting things back to "normal" asap, it takes time.

Yeah mate that's shit, I agree with your last point, It's like when people tell others they need to just move after the death of a loved one, It's not that easy and everyone has to find their own way to do so, Hope your better now buddy👍🏻💪🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hi mate. Ive been suffering from parosmia for two years and have watched your series on your experience. I can fully relate to the frustration that i was once able to enjoy the world around me and that. Over 1 and a half years now and my mental health and memory has gone through the window however your series has helped me remember that im not isolated. Thanks for sharing your parosmia experiance and im happy youve recovered👍

Just commented on your last video but I’m happy to see you’ve recovered. It’s been almost 2 years for me and it’s been insufferable. Definitely not to the degree of disgusting that you experienced but everything is still disgusting. I’ve been eating everything I can to maybe get lucky but there’s little to no progress on this distorted smell going away. I’m really hoping my smell comes back but a part of me is so hopeless. I loved lighting candles and just being absorbed in my environment with smell. Are you able to smell candles, cologne or chemicals? Or maybe camp fire? I’ve been worried that if it does return those scents won’t come back.

October 2021 was the last time I tasted anything normal. Things tasted different, some bad but some edible. The mood of the whole world around me is depressing and it feels as if 2 years ago feels like 10. That's how important taste and smell is. The entire world feels completely different. There's the occasional familiar smell that goes away as soon as I smell it. I'm loosing hope with my smell and taste to the point where I've just accepted that this is how my life is now.

I completely understand. It was January 11th of 2021 when I lost mine. It was completely gone for the first 4 or so months then returned but everything was disgusting and still is to this day. It’s progressed and evolved over time but hasn’t gotten better. Like you said my entire world is different I’ve never shared a memory of scent with my significant other and just relatively feel depressed all of the time.

Going through this now. I only had certain foods that were a hard no (like coffee). As soon as I started chemo it went to all food including water. I've lost 25lbs so far. I did find organic vanilla nutrition shakes that I could drink so I am getting some nutrition. I miss chewing.

I have heard this can be a side effect of chemo, stay strong it's super mentally taxing. Hope you are ok x

I am about to hit three years of parosmia and throughout that time it hasn’t gotten any better. I feel like I’m dying all the time. When I got Covid I was a healthy weight and pretty muscular, but now I have loss mostly all my muscle mass and am very skinny. I am still in the worst of it and I don’t know what to do. Most of my family thinks I should get over it and that makes me feel so horrible that I can’t even explain. I wanted to commit s too and am still on a lot of antidepressants. I’m doing a little better now emotionally. I’ve had the same experiences with doctors as you. I’m am really scared that this won’t get any better.

I'm always available to chat on my streams, or here. Just hang in there and find communities that do understand, it's an awful thing and it really has spoilt my health and many people dont think it's real but it was. So we have to support eachother.
