Parody Of Addams Family Movie Train Wreck Scene (1000 Subscribers Late Special)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Something I’ve always had in mind to do but since I finally got the same type of locomotive models used in the film, decided to go ahead and make it. So here’s my actual 1000 subscribers special and to celebrate here’s my parody of the train wreck scene in the Addams Family Movie using my own rolling stock. Trains featured include Lionel locomotives 18606 New York Central 2-6-4 and 18807 Lehigh Valley RS-3. Cars used were 2400 Maplewood Pullman, 2405 Camden Vista Dome, 2401 Hillside observation, and 6067 caboose. No trains were harmed in the making! Thank you all for 1000 subscribers!
All film copyrights belong to their rightful owners I own nothing.

    You in the 1991 movie Gomez seemed like he was insane, but in the original 1964 series he was just calm about everything during the crash

    That’s why I love the crash scene from the movie, Gomez goes loco and we get an extended sequence whereas in the show Gomez nonchalantly blows them up and it’s over

    Truly beautiful to watch, camera angles and everything feels spot on. Always drove me nuts as a kid they used an interior of a heavyweight commuter car for the mini passenger guy seeing Gomez out the window when the cars are based on Budd streamlined cars albeit in toy form, though since everything was weathered I don't know why I still think I'm seeing Northern Pacific paint scheme on the cars in the film

    The ones used in the show were just stock Lionel locomotives. They never actually collided or crashed head on they only got blown up by the explosives. I think there’s even one shot where the 2343 Santa Fe has some burn damage too. For the film I thought I read they used balsa wood copies so they’d break apart on impact while the rest of the scenes used stock Lionel products again

    I wonder if it's possible to get authentic ADDAMS FAMILY trains sound bytes from the classic t.v. series, and put them in the sound effects accessories on a layout?

  • @richardstrainsandmore

    @richardstrainsandmore

    3 жыл бұрын

    I’m sure it’s possible, I know for the sound effects they largely used stock recordings such as a GG1’s Leslie A200 horn, Wabco E2 horn, and what sounds like an ATSF 6 chime whistle. I bet Lionel’s been itching to release an Addams Family themed accessory or set but perhaps they were blocked by licensing fees or studio decisions. A set like that would be quite a smash hit

  • @punkrockpub

    @punkrockpub

    MGM currently holds all the legal copyrights to THE ADDAMS FAMILY. By now, in this current day and age, Lionel should be able to get the legal right to make an ADDAMS FAMILY train set, as long as MGM gets their money for the lease of the ADDAMS FAMILY name.
