Can this be used to cut 9cm plinths at 45 degrees?

I was frugal and bought this saw. It’s impossible to saw wood to a precise length. The axel the saw is mounted on has a lot of play. Also the laser is operating with batteries that are drained in a very short time, because I forget to switch it off. For the money it’s a decent saw, but I wish a bought a beter one.

I have also bought this one and the adjustable stop rail is not flush with the frame. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem 😂

Unfortunately it is not a good chop saw. It is far from precise even with careful set up. The is not rigid enough and it is impossible to set it to exact angles to make a picture frame or a box without big holes in the joints. I am returning mine.

If you make pic frames you do not buy this in the first place but for example a DeWALT DWS780.......However this is with some adjustments a nice saw (for the money)

Of course, you can always decide to spend 700€ more and buy a better one. With 70€ this is more than fine.

Leser marking to me is a very good solution and I like it. I turn laser on set exactly on the line and then shut off. QUESTION ON ACCURACY: Laser line is a very thin light beam and can be set exactly on the marking line of the piece to be cut. However, saw blade has its own thickness of about 3 to 4 mm. In other words, if we set laser line exactly on the marking line to be cut, we can be short for a "half of saw blade thickness" inside marking line i.e. short of about 2 mm (half of the saw blade thickness) from required accuracy. What would be your advise on how to offset for that inaccuracy? Your suggestion is appreciated. Thank you. NOTE: I retested this and it cuts close but to me overlap laser line about 1 mm. Not sure? Can anyone comment.
