Parkland father shuts down Ted Cruz perfectly (Fred Guttenberg interview)

I loved it when the reporter was talking to Cruz and Cruz called the Uvalde shooter a violent psycopath. The reporter then asked Cruz why can an 18 year old violent psychopath by an assault rifle. Cruz couldn't walk away fast enough.

As a video game fan and composer, I disagree with Fred on that issue. Movies and video games do not make people do these things. Other countries have more people playing video games and they have zero gun violence. Korea is one of the largest video game consumer and they have zero school shootings. Its simply a mix of availability that an 18 yr can just like that buy a weapon made for war. Whether he/she have mental issues - i can promise they have nothing to do with games, movies or music. Also, there is people that just are plain evil. Not religious but maybe no mental health care would fix them. So we need to make sure that these people cannot get a hold of these weapons with that ease. Its not too much to ask, IMO. But of course - The Rep want to rather control womens bodies. People - PLEASE VOTE. Please please.

When we vote sometimes we have no idea really who are voting for or if there going to be any better than the one that was sitting in their seat it's like very complex to me I have a problem I have son in prison and I need to change who is in the Senate and the house representative and the governor for him to ever see light of day again because they made these laws it or really unconstitutional he didn't even commit the act that he is charged and sentenced to

What I don’t understand and dislike about the video games and movies is the glorification and emphasis SO OFTEN on violence. As I get older I am more sensitive and bothered by the gratuitous violence constantly being shown. It’s so acceptable and normalized and I don’t know what that says about us as a species. I know there will always be bad people who commit violent acts but it’s the rest of us watching violence day to day and the numbing sensation it has on people that I think will eventually be our downfall. That or the unlivable environment we are creating here on planet earth.

@@jacklong7048 The NRA doesn't pull the trigger nor do they encourage criminal activity. That would be no different than liquidating Ford or Chevy because of drunk drivers.

What intelligent, articulate and heartfelt responses he had to the questions. I'm sure he is an amazing father. It is overdue for ALL true American patriots to stand up, make an effort, vote and demand that the wishes of the majority are carried through, and it is absolutely clear that the vast majority want gun control laws that count.

I know this is not the main point of the video however, Guttenberg stated that gun manufactures pay a lot of money to make sure violent video games have gun violence. Is that really a thing? I wouldn't put it past the gun manufacturers doing this, but I've never heard of this happening. I truly feel sorry for his loss and we've got to do something to stop gun violence but a statement like that just sounds a little like a conspiracy theory.
