Just LOVED Paul O'Grady. SO sad that he has left us. His hilarious Lily Savage and his great love of animals, especially dogs, so sadly missed.

So sad watching Parky, Cilla and Lily chatting and laughing; thinking that they’re all gone now.

One of my favourite Parkinson shows!

Amazing to see their friendship form here which would become legendary. It’s obvious Cilla adores Lily/Paul - she’s so released and unguarded with him.

Oh, if only we had entertainers like these now, I miss laughing at these life tales!

I remember one episode when he had Bruce Willis and Bob Geldof on. Geldof spoke about the difficulties of his divorce and how it had effected his time with his kids. Willis had just gone through his own bitter divorce and was struck by how his own and Geldof's experience rhymed. Both men had divorced in similar circumstances. Their wives had had affairs and had left the marriage. They began talking together about their experiences, the pain of the end of their marriages and the injustice the legal system had made them go through as fathers. Both men seem to have completely forgotten they were on a chat show. Parkinson registered what was happening ,folded his arms, sat back and just let things flow.

That's a rare person on TV that doesn't have to have their own ego on display to be comfortable. A well adjusted entertainment figure 😂...hold my beer!

Parkinson the best. Cilla takes me way back to my childhood and she always retained such a humble loving heart...Lily...always in our hearts too....just real down home heart xxxx miss them days.

Cilla wasn't very nice by many accounts

I had very few friends as a child. I simply loved my parents: My Dad died in 2003 and my Mum died just last year in 2023. I remember with extreme delight and fondness every Saturday night, being given a Snowball to sip, with my Mum and Dad enjoying a couple of beers at the end of a hard week. Parky was always, always a favourite to watch and share together....I have very happy memories of times past, and now lost...

All three of them sadly gone. And really missed

Two of the best ! I laughed the whole way through. I see what my mum means when she said ' there's no real stars anymore - real people that we can relate to and can relate to us. All the stars of today are so busy navel-gazing they wouldn't recognise real life if it came up and kicked them in the rear end! '
