My favorite thing about immigrant parents is when they yell at their kids in their native language and their kids fully understand and answer in english. I sometimes hear people yell or kinda get angry/frustrated at their kids where I work. I think some are speaking Spanish or Hindi (maybe some other Indian language idk) But yeah I hear the kid respond in English and I’m just standing at the register being like “Uhhhhh” not understanding a lick of what’s being said between the parent and kid😂
Dad: 400 dollars? Son: And 12. Dad: And *12!?!?* You haven't told me about that.

The first girls dad resonated with me. It sounded like he was really stressed while driving, but as soon as he showed up on scene he’s cool as a cucumber. I also get unreasonably stressed when driving in urban areas I’m unfamiliar with. But as soon as he was with his daughter and knew everything would eventually be sorted out, he RELAXED.

Entitlement reeks of that first girl. She even parked in a 'reserved' parking. Every reserved parking has a sign that say RESERVED, but an entitled person would never see this and claim it as their own. Her dad is waaaaay to chill and it seems that's one of the reason that she grew up entitled, because chances are 99.99% that her dad never said NO to her, or even scolded her once when she did something wrong.

The city is though because this is a business. The longer your car is there the more money they make of you and by having you fetch silly items to get your car it stays there longer. They don't need any of that stuff to tow your car or for you to pay ticket fees but you need all that stuff to get it back and for what purpose other than to milk money out of you while holding your property. All you should have to show is proof of ownership. It's not the DMV who cares if your registration or your insurance card expired. These cars are there for parking violations not driving violations. Even if the police pulled you over they wouldn't tow your car for those reasons they'd just give you a ticket with a hefty fine and send you on your way.

@@ilaril There are a lot of ways to be prevented from having a license. I had a co-worker who had "expired" and "suspended" licenses and now it is a permanent revoke. Usually, if you are doing "drug runs," drunk driving, basically being irresponsible while driving. The show DOES NOT go into detail, but the Son did not get pulled over by an accident. He was most likely doing something stupid to get the police's attention. Police don't pull drivers over like they are fishing... Police are obligated to have a reason. And if the Son was driving his sister to work, that means it was probably early evening and you can tell the Son is highly stupid. So he most likely has not kept up with any of his documents, and his jobs are probably. the low-end of the retail industry or construction.

I grew up in a whitewashed (as my fiance says) neighborhood. Language was never an issue there. Since moving to a place with a big Hispanic influence, I'm encountering a lot more people who speak very little English or none at all. Because of this, I always assume language barrier over incompetence. I also have to remind myself that learning to speak a different language might be a lot easier for some people than learning to read and write it, and vice versa. Side note, probably the most interesting yet frustrating experience I've had with google translate is "good a ice cream jar". They wanted whipped cream 🤣
