TOTALLY AGREE about John Mayer. He's by far the best talent of his generation and it's not even close. Being introduced to his music and getting familiar with it is an AMAZING experience that can't be replicated. GLAD to know I'm not the only one that thinks so highly of his talents.

Not to sound dramatic but I was actually pissed when I saw this pop up. Why? Because the last thing I want to happen as a somewhat new fan to Parker McCollum is for this dog ass industry to turn him into Kane Brown or 2020 Thomas Rhett. Right now this dude writes his own songs (rare for country music, which is sad and pathetic in it's own right) and get this, he actually has an amazing sound as it is. But now he's on the Bobby's Boner show which is just one step closer to him releasing a song that sounds like "Look What God Gave Her". It'll be a true shame when country music turns this guy into yet another pop star.

​@@jerrysohns9321 Well you're right, sort of. You can't really put Kane Brown in the same sentence because he's not a country singer. He's a pop singer. And I'm not even saying that as an exaggeration. His music is legitimately pop music. And well Thomas Rhett will sing just about any piece of garbage put in front of him. I guess you can still say hid music is sort of country like 50% of the time. Ik this won't change your opinion at all but Thomas Rhett and Kane Brown are mainstream artists who let the industry dictate their sound and as of right now Parker McCollum is not like that. Simple as that for me

It’s not that serious. People like Kane Brown came into music trying to just get big and popular and don’t care about their music in the first place (which, shit, chase the bag can’t hate on that). Parker has been like you said writing his own songs and perfecting his craft, so he cares about the quality of what he makes going into this. Of course you’ll get more pop-ish songs like Pretty Heart, but that’s just for singles and even then it’s not bad, just a tiny bit poppy
