Hey Bill and Christine one of your loyal fans here. I was wondering if you could do a show on metal detecting etiquette. My friend and I were out detecting a wealthy part of town and he came upon a jacket laying on a picnic table and he walked over and took a 300 dollar pair of glasses out of the pocket. I told him that's not detecting that's theft you're going give us bad karma. He didn't care. So I have been going out by myself and doing well. He wonders why I don't go anymore. 😂 Oh he does watch your video. So I would love to see his reaction to the video. Thanks

The UU pin is the Utah Utes. Interesting find. The caterpillar is a Silver-Spotted Tiger Moth: Lophocampa argentata. The silver-spotted tiger moth is one of a large group of insects known as tiger moths that occur throughout North America and Europe. A few adult moths in this group are strikingly beautiful, but all of them are interesting insects with bold patterns and cool natural histories. The silver-spotted tiger moth is notable mainly because its fur is likely to trigger allergic reactions in those with sensitivities. Contact with the caterpillar's short, stiff hairs can induce an itchy rash; in some people, the reaction can be bad enough to require medical treatment. However, it's important to note that this insect is not venomous. Some caterpillars possess venomous spines, but the silver-spotted tiger moth is not one of them. Looks like you found a vintage Can Capacitor for an old Ham radio. YEAH! tent stake. That Tee handle looks like some sort of rope loop puller.

The item (handle with a hook on the end) is used to pull springs on trampolines when the trampoline is being assembled or disassembled.

The cow stomach magnet is for preventing hardware disease it catches metal in the fore stomach (the reticulum) before the metal can pass through the other 3 parts of the stomach. I was an Aggie at west hills college Coalinga Ca. That magnet can become part of your detecting equipment good for checking types of metal.

The black handle hook tool is for setting up the trampoline.

Crazy finding those arrows in the lawn I found one up in Summerlin but instead of the target tip it had a Broadhead on it luckily I found the middle of the arrow and figured out what it was before I got to the sharp end. Looks like a fun trip at least it's not raining like crazy I could see the Sun up there. Weird black T handled thing is a tool for putting Springs on a trampoline

The button at 1:19 is a one half of a New jeans button. There's on part missing that you put over the "needle" then you hit that part with an hammer e.g and these to parts "fuses" together

Nice hunt with the use of a Manticore. Maybe a little much for Tot lots, but you have to get used to it some how :) Yeah

That black handled tool with the rod and bent end, if the end is threaded on the inside it may have been the handle section of a portable rifle cleaning rod. It would be assembled in sections to the length of the barrel. If the end looks broken off, it could still be from a single piece rod.

I worked on dairy farms many years ago and we used cow magnets for when a cow swallowed a metal object, the magnet would hold the metal in place so hopefully it didn't move through their digestive system and puncture an organ killing them.

That T handle looks like a trampoline spring puller tool.

Its nice to find clean parks, but not when it comes to detecting. I'm not sure but the hook that you thought was a tent stake might be used for tightening hockey/figure skates (at least that's what I used to mine for).

It’s a shoelace puller. The other is a capacitor. Probably from a AC unit or TV

I think that hook with a handle could be a lace puller for ice skates.

ranchers put the cow magnet in the cow stomach to pick up anything sharp metal so it will not injure the cow and the acid in the cow stomach will dissolve the metal, like nails or pices of barbed fence material
