Stargate SG-1 is a military science fiction adventure television series within Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's Stargate franchise. The show, created by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner, is based on the 1994 science fiction film Stargate by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich. The television series was filmed in and around the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The series premiered on Showtime on July 27, 1997 and moved to the Sci Fi Channel on June 7, 2002; the final episode first aired on Sky1 on March 13, 2007. The story of Stargate SG-1 begins about a year after the events of the feature film when the United States government learns that an ancient alien device called the Stargate can access a network of such devices on a multitude of planets and in space. SG-1 is an elite United States Air Force special operations team, one of about 20 teams from Earth who explore the galaxy and defend against alien threats such as the Goa'uld, the Replicators and the Ori. The series draws upon Egyptian, Greek and Norse mythology, as well as the legend of King Arthur. The series was a ratings success for its first-run broadcasters and in syndication, and was particularly popular in Europe and Australia. Stargate SG-1 was honored with numerous awards and award nominations in its ten-season run. It also spawned the animated television series Stargate Infinity, the live-action spin-off TV series Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, and Stargate Origins and the direct-to-DVD films Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum. Merchandise for Stargate SG-1 includes games and toys, print media and an original audio series. The show stands as the only US television series to have the full support and endorsement of the United States Armed Forces, especially the United States Air Force.
Richard Dean Anderson is the iconic star of the legendary 1980s television series MacGyver. He also played Jack O'Neill in the sci-fi classic Stargate, including Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe and the TV movie Stargate:Continuum. Richard has been peacefully enjoying a retirement from conventions since 2019, but he chose to attend a very special event to meet his fans alongside co-star Amanda Tapping. This rare and extraordinary event takes place at the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show on December 3 and 4, 2022 during which they will participate in book signings, photoshoots, meet & greets and free on-stage lectures.
Amanda Tapping is a Canadian actress known for her role as Colonel Samantha Carter in the various Stargate series. A strong, intelligent woman in a group of men, she has become an iconic modern-day heroine. She can also be found in the series Sanctuary which she produced and in which she plays Doctor Helen Magnus. She can also be found in the hit series Supernatural where she plays Naomi, an Angel who has taken over the sky with a very specific vision.

some of us will never stop! i own all stargate sg1 box set atlantis and universe. i started watching long before i went to the navy and had more respect for the show after as so many screw up the ranks and military code and show it as way more stringent than it can be and you showed what it can really be like. i am praying that amazon brings stargate back as you all did so well with it that i used to be a treky and now i hardly even pay attention to it as you did so much better. i still take the time at least once a year to rewatch from beginning to end. the fact that the writing was based more in sci fact than fiction really helped to seal the deal for the show. i almost stopped watching all together when they took you two out of the show! i was so pissed.
This was truly wholesome to view! RDA and Amanda are international treasures

@@mrock828 There's plans for a reunion show? Considering how utterly uninterested former MGM and how Amazon is in the original Stargate show, I would not expect anything like that. There was even the new show that was written by the og writer and it was in the pre-production phase until Amazon decided they want to reboot the universe. Furthermore, Stargate shows are still not available outside of Amazon prime USA (I'm still waiting here in Europe)... That's how little they care unfortunately

Since I can't speak or understand French, it was as difficult for me to watch as it seemed to be for Rick. But they're both endearing and I did enjoy seeing them on this show so many years after SG-1 aired!

Soo wonderful ♥️♥️♥️ Iam stunned that this clip has that less views. I know so many Fans that are not into social media and not really hang out here on youtube.. If Amazon checks this numbers they should know that they just reflect a small part of the fans that are out there.
why is the sound so bad? why such a loud background noise? I mean they had microphones... why not grab the audio direcly from them - why record the audio of the room?!?!?

Given how much people pay for the entry and especially to be allowed to attend pannels with the guests, ParisManga Con organisers should do better in organising this space/sound wise. Richard made a good point about the sound system. There's a continous waffling sound that basically diminishes their ability to hear /understand what's being asked.

I agree. The French should learn English. I bet, when they come to FedCon in May 2023 in Germany, the German fans will be much better in speaking English.

@@JarinCOD Perhaps. At least not much English is taught in French schools. That's why it's difficult in France to get along with just English. The same goes for Spain, by the way. The situation is completely different in north-western countries such as Sweden, Norway, Denmark, etc., where English is spoken very well and taught in schools early on.

Love me some Stargate, RDA is def getting on abit, 72 years young lol. Love me some Amanda Tapping too, phwoar. Unfortunately I've not yet been to a convention, but damn the ambient noise etc, if I was one of those actors and I'm trying to concentrate on what fans are asking, I'd be pissed.
Can you please get your sound fixed the next time? This is not watchable!
