Galeries Lafayette is located on Boulevard Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, near Opera Garnier. It is a 70,000 m2 fashion store. The architecture of the store is art nouveau, with a remarkable dome and a panoramic view of Paris.

Love that store and especially the terrace.I was there in March right before lockdown. I will be so happy when Americans can enter France again.
I've been to the Galeries Lafayette multiple times and I never knew it had a roof deck - what an incredible view. Hoping to go back to Paris at some point post-COVID.

This walk
This place is usually buzzing with people in the summer. I was there last year July and the place was packed. Even in the winter months this place is crowded. Covid has caused havoc all over the world. Beautiful and look very clean.

literally i felt i was talking a walk inside the mall as an architect i wanted to observe and look for the circulation more but its quite useful the the terrace facade was stunning thanks for your video..

Am Montparnasse ist noch ein kleinerer Lafayette. Dieser hier ist hinter der Opera Garnier. Es ist so unglaublich schön! Ganz oben, im Restaurant kommt man auf eine Dachterrasse und hat einen grandiosen Blick auf Paris🗼

Las 3 tienen decoraciones diferentes pero es "LACOUPOLE" la q tiene un style bien parisino con los bellísimas balcones y el árbol de Navidad en diciembre satisfecha? Bye..

When I toured Europe, one of cities I wanted to see is Paris, :The City of Lights". We toured Paris. After the tour, we went to Gallerie Lafayette, I asked in English one of the sales ladies if they have a Chanel purse. I was snubbed because I did not speak French. Now I can speak a little French, so next time I go back again, I am ready now and won't be snubbed .

This could be Macy's New York..same merchandise, same copy.. except for the beautiful art deco galleries which are worth seeing, The center main floor inundates your nostrils with a hundred types of perfume cologne...and very expensive.

Look Ma! No Chinese! I wonder if the Parisians are glad to have their store back. I was shocked when I visited in 2017 that there were hardly any French in the store. The gourmet food store across the street was better since the Chinese haven't been culturally educated or developed a taste for French cuisine and edibles.
Ces lieux sont devenus des espaces mondialisés qui ont supprimé toute spécificité issue des grands magasins parisiens du XIX. On trouve ces éléments décoratifs partout dans le monde, de Tokyo à New York en passant par Moscou ou Singapour.

Ça a toujours été le cas et ils sont faits pour ça, à l'origine les grands magasins de luxe de Paris ont été créés pour la bourgeoisie et la clientèle riche du monde entier. Ces magasins ont initié la mondialisation (par le commerce et la clientèle), pour ce qui est du décor, ils s'imitent tous et se fournissent chez les mêmes fournisseurs et créateurs d'ambiance marchande, un modèle qui marche est copié partout dans le monde.

@@alwantamalus3709 Surement, mais aujourd'hui le concept atteint son paroxysme alors que les grands magasins parisiens livraient disons jusqu'à une vingtaine d'année une image encore d'une certaine façon locale nous somme aujourd'hui dans une mondialisation totale.
