This is easily the best flight video I have ever seen. I must confess that I watched all 91 minutes of this. I live in Los Angeles and have made this same transpolar crossing from Europe and Asia to LAX five times and enjoyed reliving many of my own experiences - the ice sheet melting over Hudson Bay; the fields of northwestern France followed by the English Channel; the Rocky, Wasatch and San Bernardino Mountains. Part of what kept me riveted was the detailed tour of the airport terminals. The identification of other aircraft types complete with flight information is masterful. Perhaps some type of Flight Tracker app was used on the I-Phone? The lightning strike is brilliant luck. And the clarity of the Sony hand held camera with seemingly no shaking of the hand is a marvel. The zoom shots of scenery, such as the airport with the small city and icy river in southern Canada or the northern US, all convey the photographer's love of the wonders of flight. A strong thumbs up for a video extremely well done!

I recently saw pictures of the first or the second A380 delivered to Singapore Airways back in 2007. Those two planes were being shredded to bits... I literally wept when seeing that. A masterpiece diced because some idiots don't understand how to make this aircraft profitable ( in the long run ).. I have rarely been that hurt when seeing a perfectly good airplane with at least 15 years of flight potential left being destroyed in such a despicable way. At least, Lufthansa's A380s are being carefully stored away... and as to Air France, it looks like 5 will be destroyed too. Shame on these people..

This is the best A380 video I have seen yet. Especially the scenery as you went over Greenland, the Hudson Bay, and the Rocky Mountains in winter! The Airbus A380 really is a masterpiece of European aviation engineering. What a pity it came in 2005, and not 1990 when it would have thrived alongside the Boeing 747-400 at the time.

It's futuristic! You do not need to change much, any more, to obtain footage from a journey across a pole of Saturn or across Triton - mainly the exposure to light.

I took Emirates 380 Arctic route Dubai to LAX - flew over Russia and later Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood, what a sight from the air.

I don’t know why this brings me such a relief just by watching it

Fascinating video and superb quality. I never had the good fortune to travel by this route but I'm watching with great interest for sure! Is that the region around Cape Farewell at one hour sharp?

Thank you for posting this. It is so comforting to watch again how we used to travel with such Ease before COVID. Catching the lightning strike was pretty cool too!

During the cruise phase, it sounded like you were showing us the entire cabin. I'm just guessing, because I can only hear the video. Also, just a minor note; you were so close to the correct spelling for the word 'beverage'. It was a good try.

Flying back to SFO from Beijing 10 years ago, 3 back seats were Empty! I had all 3 to myself to snooze all the way back. Plus I got to see closeup what it looks like when the hot exhaust hits -40 degree air flying over the Bering Straights at about 38,000 feet. Pure white. Never got to see that closeup before. Just from the ground.

I love the sound of those engines at cruise, they are so unique to the A380, really deep rich bass (48:18). Excellent videos!

Très intéressant. Excellent! J'ai vu la vidéo sur ma TV et c'était presque comme en direct. L'ambiance dans les aéroports je connais vu que je voyage tous les ans vers le Brésil.

Les annonces des hôtesses de bord Air France toujours aussi comment dire... Agréablement chic ! Video très réussie. Plans variés qui donnent du rythme et qui maintiennent l'intérêt.

Etant handicapé, je remarque qu'il y a quand même des difficultés pour l'embarquement et le débarquement. Et en plus, étant passionné de météo, voir la foudre frapper la carlingue depuis l'intérieur, c'est super impressionnant. Une nouvelle fois, un grand merci à vous !

Nice memories of SFO to CDG Air France flight in '12 on a 777 I think. Enjoyed the Arctic too! Caught a glimpse of a cute English village as the plane was starting to descend. Nothing but white glare over Ireland. Then an old 747 on the way back that didn't even have screens!

I thought I was traveling by myself. It was a great video. I have never boarded such a big plane. I have traveled from Peshawar to Chitral and from Chitral to Peshawar in an ATR plane. Thank you very much. Made the trip

I did Islamabad-Peshawar by road...30 years ago...Much better experience than flying a A380...

I made a Flight from Paris (CDG) to New York City (JFK), on the Airbus 380, from Air France, in 2014. Fabulous, Wonderful, an amazing and unforgettable experience.

Thank you for this awesome video! I lived in Los Angeles for years and it was so good to see “home” again. And to experience the Charles de Gaulle airport was great! Also, the Air Bus 380 is incredible!
