Hey nice video! If i want to reach to somewhere and it takes 2 bus rides (need to transit), do we pay for 2 tickets or only one? Because in metro we only pay 1 ticket even though we are transit a lot as long as we don't leave the exit

Hi, thanks for your compliments. As far as I understand, bus is slightly different as you are technically taking 2 rides. In the metro, as long as you have not crossed the gates to leave the metro - you technically have a valid ticket. So for a 1-ride ticket, you use it to get in the bus or metro, and the ride is complete. Within the metro, when you leave through the gate, your ride is over. When you leave the bus, your ride is over. But as long as you have not left through the metro gates, your ticket should be valid. So in summary, 2 bus rides need 2 tickets.

I have a question, does the bus stop at all the bus stops or only if someone requests a stop by pressing the button?

Hi, usually it will not stop at all the bus stop points. Only when you press the stop button as a passenger, or when there is a passenger on the bus stand who will get on the bus.

GOOD video! Have a dumb question: Does the bus go around and around the same route - that is, does it turn around at the Terminus and trace back? THANKS

@@seungkim3829 well buses and metros have some difference in stops and route coverage. But for seeing the major attractions, you can use bus or metro. Sometimes bus can be a bad option due to heavy traffic. So you are perhaps sitting for 20 minutes which you could cover by metro in 5. But for metro you have to descend and ascend and cross gates etc. I usually check google maps and then take whicever works for me. Pickpocketing can happen anywhere. One common trick is 2-3 people coming to you. 1 keeps you busy asking for directions, and the other steals from your bag. So you gotta be careful. And no, its not just black people trying to scam you. Its also white people. Criminals come in all forms. So stay safe and enjoy your travels.

Hi, you can buy the tickets at the ticket desks and automatic vending machines in all RATP stations. Most metro stations have a ticket counter where you can buy them. The purpose of this video was to explain the bus network, hopefully. For the tickets, there are 2 types also. (1) Zone 1-3 : Paris centre (basically most of the tourist spots) (2) Zone 1-5 : Zone above, plus CSG/Orly airport and Versailles (probably a good deal if you arrive by flight) You can find details in the below link. www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs/paris-visite-travel-pass#:~:text=You%20can%20purchase%20Paris%20Visite%20travel%20passes%20at,online%20with%20Parisjetaime.com%20and%20directly%20online%3A%20www.paris.opentour.com%20www.groundline.at

By the way, these tickets should also be available in the airport. Maybe not right in the airport, but in the train station which is connected to the airport. You can ask the tourist office for more info. I never went to Paris by flight, only by train. So I cannot speak for airport modus operandi.
